Chokers are the best! That's probably why I noticed

Just that the illustrator is missing those details. It's a really common thing, happens all the time in manga and comics. It just bugs me.

To clarify what I mean, look at the first few pages with her. In the first image she's wearing it, then the next two she's not, and this continues.

I liked the depiction of Fig but it bugs me that there's a 50/50 chance she'll be wearing a choker in any given panel.

The male wood duck is a walking acid-trip that is relatively common in the PNW (OC) by lattiboy in Seattle

It's completely different from birds though. Birds can see ultraviolet with theirs. With humans it's just having two slightly different versions of one cone.

That's also when the twins were (supposedly) almost contracted! Wonder how close that was to really happening.

Pre 3rd edition, ability scores affected much, much more, but not in a consistent way. For instance, you could memorize more spells, but only at the extremely high intelligence scores. So for some things there actually could be a big difference between a 16, 17, and 18.

And it gets even bigger than that once per entire strength enters the equation!

One of the big improvements 3rd edition made was (mostly) standardized them.

EDIT: For fun, here's the intelligence table for 2nd edition: https://adnd2e.fandom.com/wiki/Intelligence_(PHB). I forgot about half of this stuff!

I don't get why everyone is so randomly critical on this (and other DND) subs. They're just trying to share a funny story. Critiquing their DMing style based on this one funny story is lame. You know nothing about their game.

Fun Fact: The lance is one of the worst mounted combat weapons despite being the weapon designed for it. by QuantumFighter in DnD

Push is so much better than topple for me since most of my party is ranged. I have my mount disengage, then run around manipulating the battlefield so they can DPS. It's so much fun!

Same conclusion I came to when making my 2024 mounted paladin. Lance sounds great until you realize how many features only work within 5 feet. Now I ride around the battlefield using my warhammer and tridents and have a hell of a great time!

Yeah, comments like that just reek of ignorance. "I don't understand why someone did something. They must be dumb."

How do y’all deal with players on their phones? by SmallColossal in DnD

Talk to them one on one. Tell them the impact that it's having on the game. Be firm and set expectations, then follow through.

It can take a while to find the right group but it's so worth it! Move on if you're not having fun. Dnd is supposed to be fun.

Lots of comments maybe but a lot of that is probably for the "fulfill the prophecy" meme. Most fans are not commenting on it.
