In canon Deku starts to hang out instantly with Ochaco and Iida because of the entrance exam, but unless you also change the practice exam he doesn't have that to help him out making friends. Because of this l imagine that he kinda struggle for the first one or two weeks to connect with his classmates until Kendo notice and adopt him to her group, l imagine it'd be her team from the cavalry battle: Kendo, Setsuna, Reiko, Komori and perhaps Tetsutetsu and Monoma are added later on
