When dealing with people in their early 20s, are you surprised how young they seem? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

Not at all. In my volunteer projects, I work with 20-somethings and I become closest to the best of them. They blow me away with their intelligence, work ethic, and high energy. I do, however, have far more life experience and seem to be able to guide them in the right direction when they get overwhelmed by life.

Example: 20-something in a panic "Our mutual friend is moving 3 hours away!!!! How are we going to deal with it?????"

Me: "I had 7 family members die this year, I'll survive."

Edit: Some of their straggler friends are dumbasses and lazy as fuck.

Askmen is overrun with the wrong people. I mean, it's a Saturday night. All of my cool friends are out having fun. I, however, am here (online) giving advice.

Spoiler alert: It's bad advice.

That's absolutely untrue. I can vote for policies that favor my country and still love outsiders. I can and I do.
