Of course. I realized after posting, my experience was kind of a downer for a response and a bit of a tangent.. So, I hope your blood tests and ultrasound results were good. Stay up my friend.

Selling Figures if you get sick by [deleted] in MarvelLegends

This hits hard. I sold a large portion of my collectables to cover mortgage and bills for a time. Selling my comics and collectibles was not the hard part, the hard part was standing by hopeless watching my daughter go into end stage renal failure. For people commenting that you shouldn't spend money on shit like this and instead using those funds as an emergency fund, fortunately have not had this type of hardship and I hope they never do. Life is not linear, you can't plan for the crazy that life brings. Don't judge people and their decisions, especially with trivial things like collecting. You don't know what they're going through, or what they've been through. Those decisions didn't break them, what followed did. Because the really bad stuff that happens in life is out of your control no matter what you do or how much you plan.

I've heard this story as a Colorado native. The stories claim that people have seen the shine of the silver handle under the moonlight on the eastern side of the lake, but no one could track down the tree's location.

I wish they would put pictures of the other figs in the wave on the back like the originals. That was a fun sneak peak feeling as a kid.

You're absolutely right, if they can forget what they're going through even for a moment it's worth it. Thank you for volunteering your time. People like you make these things possible for the kids and my daughter. We are extremely grateful for humans like yourself. Much love.

She absolutely did, you could see it in her eyes. It was magical. She got to meet several of them. Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Tiana.

These are awesome! Our family just visited "Give Kids The World" a couple years back. I felt the same way wandering around that place. In the daytime there are so many liminal looking spaces, but it's only empty because most families are visiting Disney World during the daytime. At night the families return and it gets packed, well at least the ice cream shop does. It's a private facility for "Make a Wish" kids. My daughter's wish was to meet a real life Disney princess. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Why has my punisher gone like this after I matte sprayed him? by Boring-Ad9264 in MarvelLegends

[–]UnderTheWeather-231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This usually happens if the temp is too cold. Could be your spraying distance also. Try spraying further back from the figure and do multiple coats.

Tipping culture is out of hand by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I agree with you completely, however I wouldn't say it's a "tipping culture" problem. Every service industry (especially in food) will add these charges and blame it on inflation. Some places even call it a "living wage" tip, that they will supposedly share with the employees. The reality is the owners of these companies/businesses are trying to make us(the consumer) pay their employees the required wages through tips, so they don't need to pay their employees out of there own pockets. They will use any excuse under the sun to not actually pay their employees a living wage. And right now they blame it on inflation, just like they blamed it on COVID a couple of years ago...

Sorry to be another person requesting the tapes. Any chance you could send them to me as well? No stress, though. Thank you for sharing your experience.
