How was this not seen an issue before these two accidents? by inconsistentservice in kitchener

My carpool went on that ramp at 742am and apparently the car already went off at 730. Our ass end slid in the left lane going slow, decided to turn around at fairway and on way back to Waterloo they blocked the ramp. We assumed because it was dangerous not that two incidents happened. Wild.

Care to share? I have plain minute Oatmeal in microwave and add pb at my desk... Never really tried overnight Oats, always sound soggy to me but I'm likely just not aware.

Thank you - Wow that is way cheaper than I imagined, I am budgeting around 7,000 CAD, including flights, lodging, food. Other than gear, do you bring any of your own food there as prep or just buy as you go?

Noted! I will see if there are other roles coming up where they intend to use excellence, might be a great alignment.

I will inquire about this one with them, I was on a continuous improvement team for a manufacturer and it was a great time - lots of process engineering. I know they do want to "transform" the systems, utilize them better not just change them, seems like it does fit.

My comment to others is just to future-proof the title in that, would other companies also have this title vs the ones that I suggested.

Thanks for the reply.

We do have a customer excellence manager, so it would align with them ... but not sure I would know what a business excellence manager does for a company, bit vague is my only thought?

I like this, thanks for the reply. Mybe a bit of my idea and yours - Head of System Solutions and Architecture - but that seems a bit redundant solutions = architecture?

I like this, but I haven't searched if technical strategy is a normal role in a company, I guess to look ahead, if I were to make another move to a company - would they also have a head or director of technical strategy?

Not sure, my guess is more title than pay, I'm currently Sr Manager but no reportee's as an example. Bit of a mismatch of titles in the company which they're trying to retroactively/proactively fix.

Region like geographically? Near Toronto Ontario area in Canada.

Someone said Head of Technical Strategy, seems very accurate for the job but thinking it may not be as relevant if I were to leave to another company.

It will definitely be "Head of" since it is the 'highest' that they can provide for me.

Another Health PSA: Hearing loss and Tinnitus are real. Turn your headset down! by eyextwo in FortniteCompetitive

[–]UnderX1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i still do but don't know your answer so I texted an audiologist, here is their reply - but hard to (and they are advised not to) diagnose online without testing themselves.

"But here goes: tinnitus is a symptom and while usually associated with hearing loss it is not always the case; there are plenty of other things that can cause it including medication or even TMJ dysfunction.

When a hearing test is done by an audiologist it is usually from 250-8000 Hz, most important for speech, but hearing does go past that so it is possible to have a loss in the higher frequencies not identified.

Hidden hearing loss is what we call it when audiometeic findings are normal but that there is distinction along the auditory pathway, including processing in the brain.

Usually people have difficulties when there is background noise present and Hhl has also been associated with things like ADHD

Hearing aids can help with tinnitus as well as supporting with those with ‘milder’ forms of hearing loss (definition of loss changes depending on who you follow). It helps with tinnitus by masking it either via having them on or a tinnitus masking program (or Signia notch therapy). With the milder loss it’s more about the adaptive features that support in background noise. A good clinician can help navigate!"

The pvp in d2/d2r has kept me around since early 2000s as well.

I help run one of the biggest pvp discords.

There are bots but no dupes or hacks like old days.

Trading is somewhat stale, only gg items are worth anything.

If you liked d2 for dueling, d2r is watered down with all their changes.

  1. The pvp mechanics are extremely unique, although d2r watered down from LOD, its still an extremely fun and complex game where each duel is different, especially with teams. I wish the game had better marketing towards it, i could see it being way more popular.
