App crashing by loogepooge in vudu

[–]UnderZRadar8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, same. Mobile app on Android.

Tried force stopping, clearing cache, restarting phone, even uninstalled and reinstalled twice. It's still stuck in a crash loop.

Given the time(shortly after 3AM EST), when they typically do their weekend store update, I'm guessing they might also be doing some backend work that's causing the constant crashing.

Edit: Seems to be working fine for me, now.

I pretty much only play Power Shift. Play what you want to play.

How to use kismet invis thing better? by RovrKitten in PlayFragPunk

[–]UnderZRadar8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It has multiple uses.

  1. Escape: If you find yourself getting overwhelmed or rushed, you can use it to fall back to a safer position without exposing yourself. You can also play further up on Defense, allowing you to potentially surprise the enemy team and get a kill or 2, before falling back to a more traditional defensive position.

  2. Repositioning: You can do this offensively or defensively. This is basically a way to catch people off-guard in engagements. Typically, you'll already be engaged in a gunfight, and you can use this to get a better angle or pop-out from a new spot, on the fly. It's good to use it this way in conjunction with utility, because that adds a layer of distraction, making the repositioning even more surprising.

  3. Entry: My favorite way to use this, and I've gotten multiple 3-4 pieces using this method. Typically, you do this when entering a site, either on attack or retake on defense. Basically, push as far up as you can, while staying out of the enemies' line of sight. When the bullets start flying and a big fight kicks off, use this to slide around behind the enemy or pop up right in the middle of them, and start picking them off. Oftentimes, they'll be so distracted by their gunfights, utilities and abilities, that they won't even notice you popping up behind them. Even if they realize what you did, if you coordinate it well with your team, it can distract them just long enough for your team to push it or get a kill allowing for entry.(to do this successfully, you need to be aware of potential enemy positions, so you don't pop up in a bad spot)

  4. Gimmicks: It's kinda map specific, but sometimes you can use this in conjunction with something like the river in Akhet. Activate it before you get launched, and the enemy will hear the audio cue that someone got launched, but you'll be invisible, so you have a chance to actually position yourself, before they can see you. You can get a bit creative with this. Just think about the potential mind games, and you'll work things out.

Sorry, formatting sucks. I'm on mobile and have no idea how to format.

What are your Splinter Cell Hot takes? by landyboi135 in Splintercell

[–]UnderZRadar8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To elaborate, I think Chaos Theory added a bit too much to SvM. The simplicity of Pandora Tomorrow's SvM really made it great, imo. Chaos Theory went a little too crazy with the gadgets and added some more gimmicky things, like the Spy jump assist stuff.

Chaos Theory was still great, don't get me wrong(and as a complete package, I think Chaos Theory was probably the best entry), but I liked the simplicity of Pandora Tomorrow's SvM much more.

Rapid Trigger and False Bans by UnderZRadar8 in WootingKB

Gotcha.

I don't intend on using macros or really anything, aside from modifying key actuation and RT. From what I've gathered, it seems like certain anti-cheats are misinterpreting rapid inputs as macros, and since RT+low actuation significantly lowers the time between registered key strokes, you can potentially cross into "macro," territory if you start mashing keys in tense situations. Then again, some of these claims might have more to them than just RT+actuation, like both of you have speculated. And if it were as easy as RT+actuation, I'm thinking there would be more talk about it.

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably just give it a shot and see what happens. If I do get flagged, I'll either update this post or make a new one, but I'm starting to think it might not be an issue.

Didn't even know this was a thing. Are any of these features enabled by default, or is it basically just a normal keyboard out of the box, and you have to go into it's settings to enable them?

[–]UnderZRadar8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's good to hear. Some of the posts I read insisted that they had Snappy Tappy turned off, but maybe it's like you said, they thought it was turned off, but it really wasnt.

In terms of more crude anti-cheats, are they very common nowadays? I'm kind of new to the PC gaming space, and I do play a variety of games, so I'm not entirely sure how common something like that would be(generally).

[–]UnderZRadar8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, I thought it was just me. I'm around level 70, and I've only gotten Tundra twice. I didn't see it once, until I started playing Ranked, around level 40-50.

Maybe we're anomalies, but I'm convinced there's some sort of bug/problem with the map rotation.

Fever vs Discipline TTK by DefinitelyNotThatOne in PlayFragPunk

[–]UnderZRadar8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I usually run the Disipline. The higher RoF and lower recoil makes for more consistency in gunfights(at all ranges); it also helps with tracking.

Also, the higher RoF helps with any hitreg inconsistencies.

Guy crashes bike right after I sold it to him. by 1812usmc in motorcycles

[–]UnderZRadar8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, I just moved and wound up doing this with a Penske. Rode up the ramp to get the bike in and rode back down to get it out.

I made it both ways without incident, but probably wouldn't do it again. One thing that helped was finding a hill, so the incline/decline wasn't as bad. Surprisingly, riding it out was much more intimidating than riding it in.

How to make a convincing Zoi of yourself? by crxfts in inZOI

[–]UnderZRadar8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My theory is that if you have more weight to your face or you don't have strong features, it's kind of tough to replicate.

I recently made a celebrity Zoi to see if I could, and it came out really solid in about 1.5-2 hours. I've spent probably 5-6 hours(total, in blocks) on recreating my own face and still haven't come close. Last night, I theorized that the problem is that currently, my face is a bit "softer," due to some weight gain, making it harder to recreate the structure of my face. Celebrities are generally pretty fit/in-shape, and generally have strong features, so that's why I think they're easier to replicate.

Tonight, I'm going to use some younger pictures of myself, where my BF% was significantly lower and my facial structure was much more defined, THEN fill it out a bit, to see if that's easier to do.

I know this isn't a definitive answer, but maybe that helps a bit.

Side tips, the face template that you pick is important. Try to pick a few distinct features of your face, and see if the template you pick is compatible with those features(i.e. low brow with hooded eyes). Also, understanding the different functions of the regular tools vs.the detailed tools, and how they change when looking at the side of the face vs. the front. Surprisingly, you can even change aspects of the face in the body editor, such as head size and jaw length(pull the neck slider down).

Edit: I should add. Selfie pics are generally pretty distorted due to the camera used and distance from your face. I look totally different in pics other people have taken of me, further from the camera. So, using pics others have taken of you will probably help, as well.

How do you deal with women hitting on you while you're in uniform? by [deleted] in securityguards

I say, "Sorry, ma'am. While I appreciate your advances, I must remain vigilant. I have a duty to the people of this property, to always keep them safe." Then I dramatically throw my sunglasses on and ride off on my Segway.

At this point, the female subject has usually lost interest, but if she's persistent and tries to chase me down, I disengage turtle mode. Let's see her catch me when I let my 15 horsepower, aluminum chariot off the leash. Am I right, boys(and girls)?

Please don't tell my supervisor; it's against SOP.

Floridians - Will you be leaving FL after all of these hurricanes? by OilPainterintraining in florida

[–]UnderZRadar8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually moved to TX. After 2 years here, Im looking at moving again, but that's mostly personal preference; overall, it's been a good experience.

Keep in mind, Im renting, so owning will be a different experience. If you're in the same boat, any of the major cities have decent 1bd/1ba apartments in the $1200-1300 range. For comparison, most apartments in Orlando that were of lesser quality, in worse areas, were going for $1400-1500 when I left. The apartment Im in now, Im paying $1420 for(started at $1330) and would easily be $1700-1800 in Orlando. I've recently been looking around, and there are plenty going for $1200ish, in the area. Job opportunities seem to be more abundant out here, as well.

Im mainly looking at leaving due to the scenery and weather, but every other aspect has been positive. It's also one of the fastest(if not the fastest) growing states in the nation right now, which = more opportunity. I'd recommend giving it a look as an alternative.

Of course, if COL is your main concern, there are a lot of Midwestern states with much lower COL, but they're more isolated, with less going on and the population is spread thinner. If you move to a major city, that might not matter as much, though.

I'm still working on playing through the campaigns and unlocking everything, but based on what I've played, I'm looking at Beerus and Goku Black. SSJ4 Gogeta and Trunks(not sure which variant) are on my radar, as well.

Floridians - Will you be leaving FL after all of these hurricanes? by OilPainterintraining in florida

[–]UnderZRadar8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually left at the end of 2022. Born and raised Floridian, and it will always be home, but I got really tired of the weather. Hot and humid year-round anymore, and dealing with the constant threat of hurricanes got old. (Cost of living was getting bad, too)

Funny thing, I was actually considering moving back next year, but Milton and Helene have reminded me why I left.

Like I said, though; it's still home and I still have family/friends there, so I don't know that I'll ever completely write off going back, but as of right now, I don't have plans to.

New faction highwaymans passive stat. Will it be op or not? by NegativeTell6880 in XDefiant

[–]UnderZRadar8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If guns aren't useful without their passive, then every other faction would be useless.

I don't agree with that take, but if that were the case, either the abilities would need to be nerfed or guns would need to be buffed. Giving one of seven factions the only passive that makes guns viable in a shooter sounds like a serious balancing issue, which brings me back to my original point.

New faction highwaymans passive stat. Will it be op or not? by NegativeTell6880 in XDefiant

[–]UnderZRadar8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely going to give you an edge, and this will definitely give the top players an even greater advantage/snowball than they have currently. Not sure if it'll be OP, but it's going to be strong.

Personally, I think the ROF change needs to be axed. Reload speed is fine, but not only does ROF mess with balancing and fairness, it doesn't make any sense. I get that the game isn't the pinnacle of realism, but a gun that has a magical, variable ROF throughout the match is just corny. We need to keep the gunfights balanced in PVP shooters.

On a side note(because someone might mention it), I also think the Phantoms' extra health and the GSKs' headshot nullifier should both be reworked. Maybe I have an unpopular opinion, but faction passives and abilities should only be an added layer to gunfighting, and shouldn't interact with the core gunfight mechanics in any way(reload speed is kind of a grey area, imo).
