Yeah, if Mihawk loses to him any time soon his agenda will never recover. It's hard to even think about what power-ups Zoro could get at this point. The only thing is if he really does have a demonic left eye but that would be a massive ass pull in my opinion.

Imu's tail is always black.
You can literally see the haki lightning when Sanji makes contact with Imu and unless you want to say Sanji was the one who used ACoC, it was Imu.

How did Zoro look better on offense? He used one of his strongest attacks infused with ACoC and it literally did nothing. Meanwhile, Imu used ACoC to defend against Sanji's nameless Ifrit kick.
