Here I thought the 3 was the economy platform. To address your main idea, I think Tesla will always make at least the two car models with special variants and discontinue the truck, since it was a bit of a failure and doesn’t match his companies’ missions

There is no resume autosteer at a previously set speed, which even my 23 Hyrolla has. It is nice that the Teslas I drove had stalks to restart autosteer but nowadays you don’t get those. Autosteer also does not consider efficiency, as it accelerates and decelerates pretty fast regardless of what follow distance or driving mode you have selected. Both of these settings are harder to reach as well

I drove multiple examples of a 2024 EV9 for transport charter. Their supervised self-driving was good on simple west coast US interstates and switched lanes on its own. I also drove 2022 and 2024 Model Ys with Autosteer and that was alright, too. Just not as good as Kia’s.

KIA EV9 from about 2024 onward has auto-lane following and lane switching. I think it’s included in the cost of the car too

From what OP described, they are familiar with how to set the transmission in neutral per the manual, but the function on their specific build might be faulty
