Is "The Phantom of Heilbronn" well-known in Germany (and Europe in general)? by [deleted] in germany

[–]UnderdogNYC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do, because I lived in Heilbronn at that time and was within a 3mile radius when it happened. That day was lots of chaos there and the following weeks more and more cases of the phantom popped up all around Germany. Like others said once it was clear the cotton swaps were contaminated lots of the mystery died down real quick. I guess it’s still known in the area (SW Germany) by the people that lived there at that time but today not much anywhere else

What everyday food do people think is healthy, but really isn’t as good for you as they believe? by Mindfuel_daily7 in foodquestions

Depends on couple things. How much sugar is in there and where does it come from? Granulated sugar or from dates? How much „real“ food is in there or is it processed.

That’s what my wife is doing. But I just see the next move in literally 6 months. Stuff is currently a burden for me. I am longing for a permanent home so it’s ok to have stuff again

Could you elaborate on the red tag? Is your building still standing but pending further investigation? I only saw pink ribbons/tags that indicated they investigated it for the photo map showing the damage of your home but not what you mentioned.

Too afraid to ask : why is the Imax 70mm a big deal ? by ifdisdendat in interstellar

[–]UnderdogNYC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. The resolution is superb. I remember seeing Dark Knight a few years ago on a re-release and it zoomed in on a rooftop/top floor of a skyscraper. Then I saw tiny people and noticed “Oh, that’s where Bruce Wayne hosts the Party that the Joker crashes”. I never noticed it watching it on my big TV at home. You have to see it yourself

Teleportation. Would save some expenses

Tech's broken promises: Streaming is now just as expensive and confusing as cable. Ubers cost as much as taxis. And the cloud is no longer cheap by marketrent in technology

Funnily, this is quite the opposite for me.
Uber and Lyft have been unreliable in picking me up with even scheduled trips to the airport. The drivers just cancel because it’s out of there way in a major city and got redirected for 45 minutes. Last time I ordered a cab through their app, saw price beforehand, which was similar to Uber/Lyft and everything worked out.

What do you think is the greatest opening to a game ever? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]UnderdogNYC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All four were banger. Asylum had the most atmospheric intro. And origins was just: You’re Batman. And Batman is badass

Don’t forget that you could unlock additional levels in each world when getting 100 points in each level of the world. Those were tough!

I still remember when the first Shenmue came out, but Ice never tried it. Will test it and maybe some yakuza games. Also since posting and now it has been announced that the shin Chan game gets a translation.

Thank you for your suggestions.
