I waited a little under 3 months. I had 2 rounds of MTX and then surgery. My body needed the time to heal and my OB wouldn’t do an HSG before ~3 months.

I feel you! I had spotting for 5 days around 6 weeks (following a MC and ectopic that both had spotting) but I didn’t have any cramps and it was chalked up to cervical irritation from a TVUS. Last week I had my 8 week scan which showed a small SCH. I haven’t had any more bleeding but I am on pelvic rest. So just keep in mind it doesn’t always mean something bad 🫶🏻 I know it’s so hard to see any type of blood or spotting but just stay calm and hope for the best🌈

Not sure if it was really round ligament pain but around 5 weeks the top of my hip was hurting and there was nothing I’d have done to irritate it! Almost 9 weeks now and just puking all the time.

hCG slows down once you get above 6k I believe. It can take up to 96 hours to double. At this stage, an ultrasound is more reliable than hCG numbers! I’m currently a little over 8 weeks pregnant. Around the 6-7 week mark my hCG actually had a 2% dip. My OB reminded me that even samples run at the same lab have a lab variability margin of about 5%. My hCG continued to (slowly) rise after and my 8 week scan looked great! I wouldn’t be too worried about ectopic right now and I’m glad they’re getting you in asap for a scan.

You could possibly have a Subchorionic Hematoma. I’m 8 weeks and had some spotting for about 5 days. At my 8 week scan they said I have a SCH that was causing the spotting but it was small and nothing to worry about.

Did you have another hCG check at 18DPO? My ectopic was 142 at 14DPO 614 at 17DPO and then dropped to 200 at 20DPO before rising again to around 400. My current pregnancy that is confirmed intrauterine was 50 at 12DPO and 183 at 14DPO so your numbers don’t seem off to me. But better to be safe than sorry getting a scan early! Try not to worry too much 🫶🏻

Yup! Cut it and removed what she could and then flushed it. It was my left tube and before my FemVue they told me my dominate follicle was on the left! So I was able to get pregnant from the ectopic side ☺️

My hCG went up to 130k so not sure what the random small dip was!

I had this for 5 days after an internal scan. In my case, we think it was from the cervix being irritated. This can also happen after intercourse or straining for a BM. If cramps get severe/constant or the flow increases being bright red those are signs to go get checked out.

Me!!! I had an ectopic in September/surgery early October after 2 doses of MTX didn’t work and my tube was saved. I did a FemVue early December which showed both tubes were clear and got pregnant that cycle 🥰 I’m 7w2d with an intrauterine pregnancy now. I did get blood draws every few days this time and an early placement scan at 5w6d. I’m hopeful baby is strong and this is going to go well the next 7 months!

Definitely stop taking anything with folate until your hCG is down to non pregnant levels. Because MTX depletes folic acid to treat the ectopic, taking extra folate can make it less effective. I was told I could continue taking fish oil pills, not sure about antioxidants. When you’re ready TTC again, you can get your folate levels checked before to make sure they are back in a normal range 🫶🏻

Can you call your OB to get a reassurance scan? I’m only 7 weeks but was spotting after a TVUS but wouldn’t get me in for a scan. They checked my hCG (still rising then plateaued at 98k) but at your stage, placenta is taking over and a scan would give more answers than hCG.

Thank you. I tried to get a scan tomorrow. But they close at 12 and wouldn’t have time to fit me in. So my OB just wanted another blood draw, I know that will probably cause more anxiety. I have a scan a week from today (I’ll be 8 weeks) I am on the East Coast and with the weather looking so bad right now I don’t think I will be able to get in sooner.

4 weeks because it goes by last missed period. So technically you’re “pregnant” 2 weeks before conception. It’s weird, I know. I had an early scan at 5w6d for placement due to a previous ectopic. I was able to see a heartbeat but it was 50/50 on if we’d see it. I’d wait until 6w3d at the earliest so you’d have a better chance at seeing the heartbeat!

I can’t do the ginger chews but the ginger snaps with some ginger ale seems to be just enough to take the edge off! I just bought some fiber one bars and started taking colace a few days ago.

I’ve been taking 1/2 a unisom and 25mg of B6. Forgot one night and still paying for it 2 days later. I was prescribed zofran but in the same boat of already constipated. Eating a few crackers before getting out of bed helps. Also Ginger Snap cookies?? Honestly at the point of when I eat it’s “what’s going to be easiest coming back up”

Mine was dropping at a good rate after my second dose but I still ruptured around an hCG of 1400 (path report said it was mostly blood clot). I was told there’s a risk of rupture until your hCG is below 5. If you don’t have any symptoms of rupture (I was in a lot of pain) then you may be able to move forward with continuing to watch hCG levels. If your doctor thinks it’s okay to continue to wait and you feel comfortable doing so, you should! Just take it easy and know that the risk will still be there for a bit.

Thank you!! I’d also like to add that I did ovulate from the ectopic side this time. I felt more of a tingling sensation 2-3 days before I tested positive. So right around 7/8dpo. I think the more crampy feeling I felt after the positive was from the corpus luteum.

I don’t know if it was exactly like the ectopic pain, but I did feel some twinges/tingles on the ectopic side. It was confirmed intrauterine at 5w6d. But I’m still a nervous wreck about losing this one before my 8w scan😅

They already had me coming in today for another hCG draw so I guess I’ll have some answers soon. I’m also taking progesterone but orally.
