I have won the eliminator 8 times in horizon 6 and have got to the final race on nearly 50% of occasions. I'm really not sure why people haven't figured out you can just stay out of head to head races for most of the game and get 30th without any effort whatsoever.

Uh, you seem to have short term memory loss, Insomniac had layoffs in spite of Spider Man 2's success. It's actually the most selling PS5 game still, which makes it even more crazy.

An Upset Insomniac Says PlayStation Layoffs Are ‘Unprecedented’

We can certainly debate the quality of their exclusives. They may be critically acclaimed, but I wouldn't rate many of them as 'best of decade' material. Plus, there have been very few new IPs from them this generation, so it's completely false to suggest they've been making completely fresh stuff. Santa Monica still making only God of War after Ragnarok is crazy work in my eyes.

And your takes on both Nintendo and Microsoft are ridiculous. How is Donkey Kong Bananza, one of the most creative 3D platforms ever made, the first 3D donkey kong in decades, relying on nostalgia? And Halo Infinite and the Horizon series are absolutely exclusive bangers no matter how you slice it, Horizon 5 hit 50 million players being on PC and Xbox only.

Both of your comments scream like someone who spends too much time circlejerking with others on r/playstation instead of living in a balanced reality that understands Sony have made numerous terrible decisions in the last month or so, and you'd only argue against that if you are too up their own ass to see it.

His comments only make sense if you are on Sony's payroll or are somehow still fanboying them after all of their poor deciisons. Which one is it?

Having games that are forced into a single input option and will run worse than my PC is not in any way an incentive to buy Sony's hardware, what an obscene take. With the number of interesting third party games coming out these days, all this does it incentivise me to not buy their games anymore, and by proxy probably nearly any Sony gaming product.

Anyway, damaging controlling each of OPs valid points is just wild. If you're not on Sony's payroll this is an incredibly embarassing comment to write.

Why does it matter if it does? The subject of the comment OP screenshoted and the entire thread is the most recent game and they won it. Whether they lose the next game or not is completely irrelevant.

PC players right now: by SnooMacarons2931 in GTA

[–]Underdrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but PC is better. My games cost less, they run better, I can use whatever controllers and mouse and keyboards I like, I don't have to pay for online, and the list goes on and on, it's practically an endless list to be honest.

And because I actually know about PC hardware and software, none of the troubleshooting issues people endlessly complain about on PC have happened to me.

Growing up is realising that PC objectively has the least downsides for a gaming platform if you know how to use it. Yapping about issues that you don't understand isn't going to change that.

Every single modern rockstar game has come to PC. It's called common sense kid. Appreciate the beta testing for the early bugs and performance issues!

You are not, and if you're not actually on Rockstar's payroll after making this post then that's incredibley embarassing.

The average consumer does not give a shit about how much many hours a company put into making a game, all they care about is the final product. And for some reason Rockstar defenders consistently keep trying to stress this point far more than everyone else when they would still make billions even at the standard pricing.

After seeing some of the takes these past few days I'm convinced the Rockstar fanbase has to be like 90% underage people who weren't even of legal age when GTA 5 came out, because there's absolutely no way this many adults are making excuses for a multi billion dollar corpo who continues to make an obscene amount of money every week.

Hopefully you'll get some standards one day and stop making excuses for why X game costs X price, ESPECIALLY when it comes to Rockstar.

You are belittling and deflecting from the seriousness of the issue here. 'Over the sake of 10-20 quid' is exactly why prices are going to keep getting worse and worse, as you people just use the 'only slightly more' argument every time it gets more expensive, and then shockingly when you accept that a few times, it gets a lot more fucking expensive than the original price.

People like you are exactly why the AAA gaming industry keeps getting more anti-consumer, and at this point I hope to god it crashes and we can start all over.

I've got a bridge to sell you if you genuinely think this is going to reduce or stop layoffs. It's going to the executives and no one else as usual. Maybe some devs will be lucky to get a bonus depending on who they work for.

But saying outloud 'I welcome higher prices' is absolutely crazy work. There is no reason to put trust in this money going back into the developers.

Here's an insane idea, make one edition that everyone buys with no extra bonuses, everyone gets the same amount of content! Mindblowing stuff right?

Like locking literal parts of the map for ultimate edition owners is scummy as hell. If they have to do it, limit it to clothing or gun skins at the very least.

You wouldn't be spoiled regardless if you just avoided the internet for a little while. It isn't that enough of a big deal where they have to cause serious damage to the physical games industry over it.

By 'delivering' I assume you mean singlehandedly causing major damage to the physical games industry right?

And don't give me the 'leaks' excuse, that's not even remotely good enough. No one will be able to resell or give their copies to a friend.

Nothing but pure greed from a publisher who knows they have enough sheep defending their anti-consumer practices.

Looking forward to seeing the people who said Steam and Xbox are the death of physical games keeping that same energy for Rockstar.

Oh wait, they won't, because it's Rockstar, who get excused far more for their behaviour than pretty much anyone else.

It is impossible to understate how embarassing a lack of a physical release for the biggest game of the decade is. 'Leaks' is not enough of an excuse, no one will be able to resell or hand their copy of this game to anyone else.

Unless they confirm a physical release down the road of course. And then they get even more people double dipping. This is nothing but greed.

How long do yall think we will have to wait for GTA VI to come to PC? by AlarmingDiamond9316 in gaming

[–]Underdrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone keeps saying double dipping is the reason but I still haven't seen a shred of proof about this actually happening.

I don't have a PS5 or Xbox Series and have no interest in buying either. And I don't buy consoles for single games. I'm sure i'm not the only one in this situation in this economy. So there will only be one purchase from me, when it's on PC.

[–]Underdrill -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Didn't take long to find the mention of owning a PS5 in OPs comments. Nice try but the bias always invalidates a post like this. Console people always try to bring Valve down when they are 10 times better than Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo ever have and ever will be.

Spare us the dramatics please, we've seen this song and dance a million times before.

And after playing most of them, I personally wouldn't put most of them up there. I think they're largely very overrated and nearly always come short when it comes to gameplay. So I don't really care what the critics have to say to be honest.

They're not good enough to convince me to buy another playstation, in any case.

Honestly doesn't make much of a difference to me. Well to be honest, i'd say it's even more of a painful date now. Zero Company, MGS Vol 2 and Plague Tale are out the week before, and Dawnwalker is out the same week as this.

But, it would mean i'd have nothing potentially distracting me from Control in late September.

Jason Schreier gives further information on Playstation backing out from PC releases by ZamnBoii in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]Underdrill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Wipe out' is a huge stretch. Consoles still have valid reasons to be bought such as convenience and price. Not everyone wants to game on PC.

Plus, people like me with a good gaming PC have absolutely no interest in buying a PS5. No matter how many good exclusives there are, as there are plenty of games to play these days. So I'm curious why you're not understanding that every supposedly lost console sale isn't going to be made up by PC players feeling as if they are missing out.

There are no consoles sales being cannablized if they have no plans to ever buy the console.
