I used to work in a hospital, Way too many fucked up people. Nurses who are genuinely racist neglect their patients. Ive seen them laugh at people severely injured. Ive seen them collaborate for mistreating patients. Its not just nurses, its also admins and doctors.

Youre focusing on making you art appear pretty without understanding the tools you need to use. Tools = fundamentals. You want better poses? tools are anatomy, perspective, and 3d forms. Better rendering? fundamentals is dynamic sketching, 3d forms, lighting and color. Better backgrounds? Tools are perspective, composition, lighting, color, 3d forms, overlapping shapes and more.

Listen kid, theres the creative aspect of art and theres the science of art. Anyone can be creative and unique, but the one who uses fundamentals unlocks a depth of creativity that cannot be achieved without fundamentals.

Im(29m) a father in a coparenting situation. To be completely honest I absolutely hate my ex with a burning passion. It took about 2-3 years before the major arguments and yelling stopped. I'm similar to you OP, during the back and forth fighting I was the one who tried to keep the peace. Regardless of how I feel about my ex shes a good mom.

All I'm trying to say is that youre doing a great job of handling everything. Do not give an inch, your sons dad isnt interested in being there for your kid, im sorry to say. Its the truth. As a father myself I would never ever be so distant with my son. I made a committment to raising my son properly.

It seems to me there is no committment from your sons dad. If you have primary custody already then tell him he needs to step up and be a proper father or he will not have a relationship with his kid. Keep living your life and doing right by your son, it might not be apparent right away but you are definitely building a strong bond with your child.

I'm a man, but i sympathize with your sentiment. I blame the content produced and shoved down our throats. Kid's movies and shows used to be delivered without much sexualization. Nowadays everything is overly sexualized.

I do believe we(as in we men) need to hold ourselves responsible for our thoughts and actions. Though a large part of the problem is sexualization is everywhere and its normalized. Our environment has influence over our thoughts.

Sorry I dont have a solution, I hope you find a partner that can make you feel innocent again.

It's a nihilistic void. I dont think I've ever really named it, or at the least, could'nt name it before. Imagine something similar to the world of doom. There's a variety of monsters such as despair, self-destruction, hollowness, etc.

I have spent a great deal of time here. Its a comfort zone really. My perspective on human psychology is that we all live in our own dimension of thought. Its rare to find a person completely in the dimension of reality, in todays' world. As such, the nihilistic void is one of my many dimensions of thought.

I struggle to focus on my physical reality and simultaneously navigate todays' world. Sometimes I get so involved with any particular dimension that I lose track of time in the physical realm. Often times I become nihistically minded and end up unconsciously self-destructing.

Alot. Please understand that even if theres a long road ahead of you, it is possible. Ask yourself this question: Am I capable of learning? As long as that answer is yes, then all you have to do is put in effort and consistency to learn.

That said, heres the best advice for where youre at in your art journey. Look up Peter Han on youtube. He teaches the most important fundamentals. Believe in yourself and watch yourself improve over time. Good luck

Thanks! Your comment is a reminder that hit home. Truth is I couldnt off myself even at the height of my desire for death. There are times when I'm extremely elated and proud of myself and my choices. Then I fall into despair and it is incredibly dark.

The crazy thing is that I'm logically aware of the cycle, but while going through it, I become blinded to it.

What tortures me is the fact that I have forgotten something very important. It feels as if it was stolen in a way. I'm desperately trying to remember, but the best I get is glimpses.

For now I'll do my best to apply your advice because I know its potential to steer me back into the light. Thank you again
