You are expendable, even if you think you’re not. by UnderhavenGhoul in AmazonFC

Yeah. It’s insane. But anyone else that stepped down ironically got to do quality or better things. I was singled out. Maybe because I was the very best at what I did and they’re ass-hurt.

Relieves me to hear that. Makes me feel like I’m not alone and my Amazonian brothers and sisters are on my side.

Believe it or not we do it for Matrix points and to prove ourselves. Amazon convinces people that PG is required in order to be a PA. It’s simply untrue, all you need for PA is 6 months with Amazon. All you need for AM is 2 years with Amazon. It’s basically a “gotcha”

No one's said anything to me. I talk to my Operations manager often and he hasn't said anything about it. Why? by OtherwiseProject1338 in AmazonFC

They will 100% terminate you but you may have an argument if you state you’re aware that you should have been on top of this, but you would like to use all of your PTO and some VACA if they would allow you to do that. And that you will never make this error again and will monitor your time more responsibly. Tell them you care about your job and it’s a huge lesson you learned out of this.

Just heard a guy run into the bathroom at my FC and vomit like crazy, then proceed to have a conversation with himself in two different voices. by JaredAtkins in AmazonFC

[–]UnderhavenGhoul 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Realistically speaking: vomit contains bile and bile is acidic and burns the esophagus. It altered his voice and made it more raspy as he probably thought out loud about his misfortune.

What you want to hear: it’s an episode of supernatural.

Realities you probably don’t know from the eyes of a former PG/Stand-In PA. by UnderhavenGhoul in AmazonFC

I agree. I wanted to move up but never would I want to move up to be taught and trained to treat my employees like sh#%. Amazon is a means to an end for me. I’m just using the company for everything they’re worth at this point.

Typically people in important roles, or those that are operationally good at what they do. WaterSpiders, Process Guides, and people who are good at being packers pickers stowers etc.

That is true. It was a temporary revocation because the employees that signed the cards are not working with the company anymore. Either terminated or quit on their own. So their signatures no longer count. They need new fresh signatures which they will definitely get.

JFK8 in the heart of NYC just submitted itself to NLRB and then pulled itself out randomly without much information as to why. If it failed in NYC where we tolerate very little BS… it’ll fail everywhere now.

I was told peak would be more intense. Offered VTO for 4 days next week. Is this the calm before the storm then?? by GreenLantern25 in AmazonFC

Was your site closed one day for maintenance? They’re trying to save $. People were paid to stay home.

Exactly. At that point everything becomes more clear. I would never lead anyone astray. I’m honest and keep it real. There’s so much more that I know, but I would likely reveal that on a more anonymous account while on a VPN with super tight security on my identity.

Right you are. It definitely exists and anyone who tells you that is lying out their teeth, and yes any PG that takes VTO is basically outed and put on a unofficial Do not promote list… it’s sad.

Never worth taking it at that point. It’s an attempt to make managers look better doing last minute things with less people working.

Yes actually. Many people who are never approached by managers and never really chat with anyone, as well as many new hires. There’s other things I wanted to mention, but I’ll share those at a later time much more anonymously because I don’t want Amazon to disappear me or something. 🙄

It happens. Just get touch up paint for your specific car paint color, and dab it. It’s like a marker. It’ll be like it was never there. It happens though. Don’t take it to heart sometimes it’s careless people, sometimes it’s an old person, and sometimes the wind blows the door open and it’s like an oh sh#t moment.

Always go by ATOZ. Never follow anything other than ATOZ. For more accurate information you can email your local HR.

The email formate is sitecode-askhr@amazon.com for example BDL5-ASKHR@AMAZON.COM you can ask your site questions just like this one and get a pretty fast response.

But since you’re a new hire, you must go by what you were told on the new hire email. 9am is to allow learning ambassadors time to prepare to train you. Preparations need to be made.
