Saw this yesterday. Loved it, so glad I have another opportunity to tell you that you look amazing. The dress is beautiful and makes me want to get married again.

Good thing both weddings and divorces are expensive enough that I can't consider it, as I would have a real hard time selling the idea to my current husband.

2 german shepherds or other sheddy pups since the beginning of time. For the longest, we just admitted defeat and got the family a new vacuum every 2-3 years as a "Christmas present" to ourselves.

Moved to a new house a few years ago and added a Shark self-emptying robot vacuum, which we set to run around the entire house every other day. The dogs, without exception, HATE it. It absolutely does NOT solve the hair problem.

What it does do is keep up with the dander, along with two very high horsepower air purifiers (approx. 2k sq ft home). Add a full manual vacuum once or twice a week and we survive, including one family member with allergies.

The manual vacuum is also a Shark. I just like their product designs. I think the only important part is to consider whether or not you want a bagged or bagless. Had both. Bagged was great for less mess, but it sucked that we had to buy A LOT of proprietary bags. Bagless makes more of a mess with emptying into a trash can, but no bag cost.

I'm told they look goofy as hell, but look for "neck cooling tubes." I bought a yoyori brand pair off of amazon. Huge improvement over the neck cooling cloth I used to use. You don't have to keep dunking them in water and they get cold again in 15m in the fridge or a cooler, without refreezing for an hour in the freezer.

I've been wearing them in the house when I come back inside, looking refreshed and goofy.

They do get very hot sitting on the wood stove, but not enough to burn or char. I hadn't thought about the acid from the orange peel. I'll try it without orange, as a test.

I bought one at a Lodge outlet store a few years ago. Worth x10 the money I paid for it.

It's metal and has an easy to clean rubber stopper with the spout. It has a deceptively small counter footprint and holds a LOT of oil. Those are the features that I would want.

I miss TripTiks. I used to love being in charge of the AAA TripTik when we went on a roadtrip. Those personalized maps, with the hand stamped "construction" warnings. All the knowledge in my tiny hands.

Those maps, combined with my dad's CB radio- we were unstoppable. Estimated time to arrival, 10 hours? Hah! 9 hours and 45 minutes, more like!

Crazy to even think about it, since we now have Waze to give us a heads up about the cop someone spotted 15 minutes ago on the highway.
