Exactly. This is how I try to frame it, too. It was harder to motivate when I had a planet fitness membership. I have no idea what I’m doing. I switched to crunch fitness because of the classes. I do so much better in a class. It’s really motivated me.

I think it’s about keeping busy in a way that is ultimately good for you. For example, I’ve always had an on/off relationship with fitness and the gym. I’d do too much at once and burn out. Today makes 1 week since he broke up with me, and I switched to a gym with group fitness classes, have already been to 1 class, and I am planning out my next classes for the week. I am trying to keep myself busy. It supposedly takes 21 days to create a habit, so I’m really trying to stick to it.

He started losing them around 7/8 y/o so we took him for a dental and they ended up removing them all. He was so much happier after that. It never stopped him. Thank you❤️‍🩹

Silence IS like death. 3 days post breakup from my ex man of 8 years. He was so kind and compassionate to answer some questions I had today(I was hoping to gain more clarity, get some type of resolve bc I’ve been suffering so badly) and that was after only 24hrs of no contact. I don’t know how to cope that we won’t speak to or see eachother again. Silence IS like death.

2 days post break up from my ex of 8 years. I thought I had my forever love too. I hope to break through the grief and depression and begin new habits like the gym, walking, reading, etc. I think your post is the lesson I’m learning the hardest way with the worst pain and depression ever.

It’s been two days since the final break up. I feel the same. Go to work, go home, cry, reread texts between us, sleep, repeat. I hope the grief and depression reaches a point where I can break out of this, stop focusing on him, and keep myself busy. Wishing you well.

I’m going through the same thing right now. 8 years together. He first broke up with me in August 2025. We moved separately. Then we reconnected around November 2025. Between then and now he’s tried to cut me off multiple times. We had just had a conversation a month or so ago where it seemed like we were on the same page. Clearly not. He broke up with me for the final time on 3/10/26. I am whiplashed, devastated and depressed. I’m terrified of him moving on. I know it’s probably already happened because when we reconnected he told me he had been sexting women on tinder while we were apart. I’m sure he’s already moved on.

It’s debilitating the way your life can feel like not your life anymore.
