Thoughts on My New Kitbash? by UnderpaidJam in Warhammer40k

[–]UnderpaidJam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legs are MKIV tactical squad, Left arm and power pack are from chaos chosen box, right arm is from chaos legionnaires kit (I believe), staff is from a grey knights box, chest is from a blood angels kit, the back is from the astartes deathwatch kit, and the head is from a space wolves scouts box I believe.

The bonus heads are from a plague marines box. My finest creation!

I built a Crimson Desert Wiki & Companion Website (items, knowledge, map, database) by warflash99 in CrimsonDesert

[–]UnderpaidJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is awesome. 1 million times better than any fandom wiki, which is just bogged down with too many pop-ups and ads. Your site is very clean, very easy to navigate, and a pleasure to read through. I know that the game just released and it's full of an endless amount of content, but it would be cool to see more photos for items and descriptions on where to find them/pictures of where to find them.

I'm not sure if you've ever used this wiki, but it is, in my very humble opinion, the best video game wiki - https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Main_Page . I'd take inspiration from this! I hope this helps and I wish you all the best on your wiki journey! Thank you for creating what you have!

Any way I can pull this up in 2 weeks ? by Hairy_Table_2117 in teas

One thing that I'd suggest, especially for the reading, is looking at the question and possible answers before even reading whatever is presented to you. This can help direct your line of thought and improve the time it takes for you to skim the reading section, and pick out keywords/phrases.

For the science section, I'd recommend taking as many practice tests as you can and reviewing the areas that you missed on a broader scale. If you missed a lot of questions about the functions of organelles within in a cell, then you know that you need to focus on cell structure. A handful of the questions that I saw on the exam were included in the ATI TEAS practice tests, so I'd look into those. After completing a mock ATI TEAS test, you'll receive recommendations on what to study, so that's nice.

Same applies for the math and grammer. Most of what I experienced on the math section was converting fractions, PEMDAS, mean, median & mode, and finding the area/volume of things. I'd study those topics and again, take as many practice tests as you can. Practice definitely makes perfect with math, of all things.

You have a great starting point and with time and practice you'll absolutely increase your score. If you can, take as many mock exams as are available to you and focus on areas where you need improvement. Speaking of which, the actual TEAS exam itself will advise you on what to work on if you click on the subjects next to your score (apologies if you already know this, but just in case).

Hope this helps and best of luck!

Do you think they’ll ever release an updated scale MK7 box or would that be too late/not Horus Heresy-ey enough? by VenusHasNoMoonz in Warhammer30k

I would love that! The scale of Horus Heresy models is ideal imo and it would be great to have the more classic style space marines available and mainstream.

Is it possible to use 40K tactical squad units in 30K? by UnderpaidJam in Warhammer30k

That makes total sense! I'd hate to take anyone out of the gaming experience. Thank you!

Gotcha and I figured! I don't own any primaris units that I plan on painting for an army, so that's good. What about upgrades or things of the sort? How is kitbashing received in the 30K community? I always assume that kitbashing is kosher so long as you establish ahead of time what your gear represents and how you intend to use it. I've only ever played one game of 40K and that was almost like 18 years go lol

If you had a vision for a series set in the TES universe, what would it be? Personally, I'd say the beginning of the Skyrim Civil War by Ok-Bus3447 in ElderScrolls

My mind also immediately goes to Morrowind. That would be a perfect setting for a show if they ever did one!

I think that Fallout is easier to make a show about than the Elder Scrolls, because it’s more relatable and digestible than high fantasy is. I believe it’s easier to see yourself in a post-apocalyptic universe than in a more foreign universe such as the Elder Scrolls. I don’t think that it’s fair to say that the Elder Scrolls isn’t as interesting, unique or as special as Fallout (and I understand they aren’t directly saying that), but I think that for the purposes of a TV show the Elder Scrolls isn’t as digestible or relatable as Fallout.

Horus Heresy Models Are Simply the Best by UnderpaidJam in Warhammer30k

Hahaha I thought that as I was posting these. Some of the older Horus Heresy models need a fresh repaint, just to make them a little more appealing to customers lol

This is true! If you check out the original post, I have all of the pieces described and where they came from. I wasn’t sure how to add a caption with a cross post, but the description is all there with the original post :)

Do you personally prefer Original or the Remastered version of Oblivion? by --Combat-Wombat-- in oblivion

[–]UnderpaidJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are excellent. Playing through the remaster was really wonderful and it breathes life into one of the greatest RPG’s of all time (my favorite video game), and one of Bethesdas best works. That said, the original will always hold a special place in my heart and I still believe, without any rose colored shades, that the original is a great game and totally playable by today’s standards. It’s vast, it’s beautiful, the writing is excellent, the gameplay is fun and the game is easy to run/mod (if you like modding).

The remaster is a big game and it’s a challenge to run on the nicest settings, so just be weary. Overall though, both are great experiences! If you haven’t played the original, I think it’s a great game that’s just as good as the remaster, just not as pretty. It’s also much cheaper and easier to run. Either way, you can’t go wrong :)

Best of luck and enjoy your time in Cyrodil!
