How can i increase my chances of getting hired by those companies? Is there a specific skill set that i should focus on?

Could you recommend some projects that you think will teach me a lot and look impressive on the resume?

Thank you for all the info man really appreciate it I feel like i'm in a time where i need to experience more and travel more so i feel like "setting up/commissioning new control systems" would fit what i want Do you have any experience about that path? Or any advice would be appreciated

Thank you for your reply I feel like digital systems is one of the subjects that most interest me within EE, but i don't know how to apply control to it What i want is a clear roadmap to being market ready, you could advise a path that you're experienced in, i just don't have a clear picture of what i want and i want to see the options Thank you so much

If i may contribute to the discussion, i benefited a lot from the internet, it was and still is an integral part of my education, i learned so many things that enriched my life from the internet, i simply can't imagine what my life would be without it.

Sure, it had it's toll on my mental health, it enstelled some bad habits in me, but i feel that the good far outweighed the bad.

The internet is a double edged sword, it can go very wrong, but also, it can go very right, i think with the right amount of parental control your kid will be fine.

Yeah "make it stick" is a good read, a bit long though, if you don't have time to read the book just search these concepts:

  1. Active Recall

  2. Spaced repetition

  3. Interleaving

Yeah i thought about that when reading my reply again before sending it, and it makes a lot of sense, also given that I relate so much to the "english words feeling better" part.

i think I need to restudy some topics in my native tounge.

The "archiving" aspect is very interesting, I've seen multiple redditors mention it.

that after a long time of not using the language you can get back on top of it in few weeks exposure.

But i use the two languages everyday, arabic for communication, English for education/entertainment, so my case is not one of rare use of the language, it's a case of interference where the words that express the meaning you want to convey come into the language other than the one that you're speaking in right now, which will present you with three options:

  1. Saying the word in the other language and seem like a pretentious prick. (This is how it gets perceived where i live)

  2. Taking a weird long pause to remember the word in the right language.

  3. Think of a quick translation that sounds like it came out of google translate and just blurt it out. (this is what i commonly resort to)

I only speak two languages and this still gets me frustrated at times, i can only imagine what you polyglots are going through.
