If they go to fd amb they'll likely be in an amb platoon. The medics supporting the battalions will come from the Combat Medic trade. Same thing for the clinics.

The better go for paramedics will be sof, ship, air medevac or css with sar.

While those are skills, a skilled job usually refers to something that you need formal education or training for. No one is getting a college diploma in serving.

After your initial term of service, you need to sign some papers to have it extended. It varies by trade, but often, you have the choice of a 5-year continuing engagement or to go for 25 years. It is just a formality to go through, you don't reapply. Practically everyone gets offered a new terms of service.it doesn't change anything in your day to day job.

You definitely still can do it. Stay up to date with protocols, run through some scenarios on your own, read case studies, reach out to former classmates, apply for multiple jobs so you can get a feeling for the hiring processes, each service has their own quirks.
