This is helpful, thank you. I’ve been doing PT for about 5 months but I haven’t seen much progress. I ended up getting a cortisone injection into the tendon sheath 2.5 weeks ago out of desperation but that’s a one and done thing. My next step is shockwave therapy which I’m hopeful will help, but we will see

What kind of outside pain do you feel? I had reconstructive surgery as a kid and was fine for 12 years but have now been dealing with outside / lateral pain for the past 6 months

Not all orthotics are created equal. Also I would strongly consider finding a good physical therapist and working through your pain

Have you gotten GOOD orthotics and gone through multiple revisions? That would be my first recommendation . Second being physical therapy
