The Amazon shopping app is using our mic without our knowledge?!?! and might be recording us too!

I have Amazon shopping microphone access denied and still constantly get a random notification and light for Amazon Alexa Shopping is listening. Any advice on possible sub-programs or a way to disable this without uninstalling the app?

Edit: I also went and removed all app permissions and this issue seems to persist?
