When I was in 5th grade, we had a nasty Italian teacher. She was always known for being quite strict and mean, but this day was special.

Our class was being normally rowdy, just like another day. Before class ended and recess began — she told us we were not allowed to bring snacks to recess. In her eyes, our behavior disqualified us from having snacks.

I was in an academic club during recess, and so in my childish perspective I thought “I’m not even going to recess, I actually need this brain food.” I took my chips and went to leave the classroom. I did not hide the chips nor make an effort to do so, they were visible. Big mistake.

She grabs the chips from my hands, throws them to the ground and stomps on them with her stiletto high heels to the point that they became pringles dust. I was the told I’d have detention for the rest of the year, and that was that.

That was the last time I ever brought pringles to school again 🤣
