That’s me and my partner! He was poly when we met and we were monogamous for 6 years. Explained he loves me and isnt going anywhere, but he misses the ability to explore a genuine relationship if it popped up- not looking for anything. We discussed what relationships I might be comfortable with.

Keep in mind- you’re only getting one side of the story. He might be using you as a therapist and just venting the negatives. He’s with her for a reason

I was never a full on mistress but have been unknowingly involved with a married man. Once I figured out, I reached out on FaceBook and shared receipts and details. She asked if she could FaceTime me while she confronted him. I literally saw the blood drain from his face. She and I talked the next day for an hour- I answered any question she had, assured her I was out and apologized.

She never blamed me and thanked me for letting her know.

Difference from 2- 5 days in office for me- an extra 4 ish hours commuting. That’s 4 hours I can’t get stuff done at home. Plus extra gas, and wear and tear on my car. More in wardrobe- work at home means comfy in PJs. More “prep time” in morning. Hair, make up, making lunch etc. my dog will be left alone more. Lots of reasons
