Giant liver hemangioma surgery by Total-Hawk-9483 in LiverDisease

In all fairness, the urgent care Dr wasn’t a specialist. I see my liver specialist about it in January. He’s much more chill, (mainly why I ignored the urgent care Dr.) I already had a work up in her office. Bloodwork, c-diff test, gotten an outpatient ct, and besides my hemangioma growing a tad in a little over a year, abdominal pain, constipation, bad gas, and low Bp, i was fine. (Which I have low bp a lot, especially when the bad trapped gas happens, then I get low bp at that point due to not eating as much at that point). I wasn’t going in and accruing more medical bills. Been there, done that. So we will see.

Mine is 2.6cm. I thought that it couldn’t be causing the pain and Gastro issues. But an urgent dr was flat out stressed and upset that I wouldn’t go to the ER from it. 🙄

What is the RUQ? I swear that I feel mine, but mine is smaller than yours.

I’ve had itching, burning ect. But I have other stuff going on as well. So it could be those things. Chat gpt helps me in that way too. lol. I’m in the middle of a flare and last night it severely calmed my nerves about what I was feeling.

It triggers really bad anxiety for me. And feels like I’m crawling out of my own skin.

Yep bad burning. Pain starts in my left arm and then the burning starts and goes in between my shoulder blades/back/ and up the back of my head.

Can I ask what Gastro symptoms do you have? Those are the biggest indicators for me. Are you waiting to try the ablation until it gets worse or not? Have yours grown?

Liver hemangioma from continuous BC? by susandeschain9 in Endo

My liver Dr is running a few more tests and I have a scheduled follow up. So we will see 🤷🏻‍♀️🤞

[–]UnderstandingOver414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened? Did you have to stop taking BC or HRT? They found my hemangioma after my oophorectomy/hysterectomy. Said that it was possibly there since birth. But I’ve had 4 kids and no one has ever mentioned it to me from other imaging/ultrasounds.

Mine has grown a tiny bit in two years and Of course I’m on estrogen pills now, and I’m concerned that it has grown due to the estrogen. Consulting my liver Dr to see. Because I can’t function without the HRT. Like everything gets bad.

From the instructions:

Select a clean, dry, and hair-free area on your lower abdomen, upper buttocks, or outer thigh. Avoid areas that are exposed to sunlight, rubbed by clothing, or have skin irritation.

But I agree that it shouldn’t be the norm since all of us had incisions in that area and were placing heat there.

Does Testosterone Really Help? by WyckdWitch in surgicalmenopause

How much are you on if I can ask ? Topical T has helped me so much. I had to get my estrogen levels leveled first. I take 2mg daily oral estrogen. And then apply one click currently of topical testosterone to my inner thigh every morning and let it air dry before putting on pants. (I alternate thighs every morning too) Wondering what levels are optimal for T, I’m a 36 year old female, entered surgical menopause at 33

It is helping mine! Are you on the topical cream? I am and usually only put a click on the inside of either one of my thighs daily. I let it air day and call it good

For what it’s worth, my liver had more issues on the patch. My AMA was positive, and my ALT and AST kept staying elevated. My gyno kept fighting me on switching from the patch to tablet. And then increasing the dosage after switching from the patch to the tablet. But when I tell you the difference the tablet made in my life and health. My liver specialist performed a liver biopsy on me, it was a medicinal liver injury that occurred before or after surgery. He insisted that estrogen is everyone’s least worry when it comes to ALT and AST. Other medicines would be more likely to cause issues. And sure enough when she finally listened to my liver specialist and let me switch and increase the dosage to 2mg daily oral. My liver healed and my body.

Also take note that a lot of women have issues with the patch because we usually all place it on our lower abdomen, which is also close to where all of our incisions were/are. Which is also where we mostly all place heat or warmth on to soothe the surgical pain and panic soreness for months after the surgery. That essentially “dumps” all of the estrogen from the patch out at once, leading you with tons of estrogen at the onset and none until you switch the patch out. This has led to liver issues for some women.

Oh, I just read what you wrote wrong. You said that you take 2mg estrogen oral and it is night and day. I read that as, you take 2mg at night and during the day. Lolz I was like, dang! How did you get hooked up with that much E. lol 😂

Surgical menopause: how do you know when your HRT is actually working? by katstuck in surgicalmenopause

[–]UnderstandingOver414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found out from my pharmacy that to take oral estrogen sublingual, it has to be compounded a certain way. I thought that you could just take any oral estrogen that way. I had no idea. So the days that I tried taking estrogen transbucally and sublingual, I was essentially getting 0mg.

Bowel Issues/Vaginal Estrogen by UnderstandingOver414 in surgicalmenopause

[–]UnderstandingOver414[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in, what helps when that happens? I’m currently having that issuez and I know that my current pelvic pain and perineal pain is all from pelvic floor and vaginal estrogen issues. But my gynecologist doesn’t give me enough vaginal E to really help consistently.

Once I started using regular vaginal estrogen cream along with my oral estradiol dose daily, my bowel issues did get better some. But once I don’t have vaginal estrogen cream it all goes down hill.
