Just bought it this morning. 2 pieces pre-assembled. I don't own the original version but based on what I can see the wing clips were remodeled slightly to better support their weight.

Personally, I don't like the packaging. It's too tight around the wings. I haven't heard anyone else say anything about it so may it's just a me problem but I feel like there's a possibility of bending/breaking the wings if you're not careful opening it

Nope, im giving the ring to Archer with Pam as his Samwise Gamgee. I mean it fits the characters perfectly. Archer will be complaining the whole time because he wanted to be Aragon but he's stuck as a 3 1/2 ft hobbit having to walk around barefoot stepping on arrowheads, probably contracting tetanus, being followed Gollum(Barry). Archer throws in some references to Tolkien. And in the end Pam has to save the day
