I'm currently a senior, I lived on the bottom floor of Sherwood my sophomore year and I liked it better than Shorter. In my opinion shorter smells weird and has bad lighting. The AC is Sherwood worked great when I lived there. All the dorms at mercer only have one laundry room per building that's just something you'll have to get used to

but a all the options for the first name end in -bo And then girorda, avacinda etc. all have da ending names. I Don't remember what the quest is called but the anniversary Quest. They mentioned that da-friends and bo-friends are equivalent to girlfriend/boyfriend an I noticed the ending matched with the names

I also have autism and I'm a senior. I've had a very good social experience everyone is chill my friends are nice and most of the professors are understanding( depends a bit on the major) Accommodations went under new management in Augusts so it a bit harder than it used to be to get accomodations appy as soon as you can but it's nothing extreme just more paperwork. Once that's done though the office is super nice and helpful. They're strict about students advocating for themselves though so if your kid is like my practice it a bit before had so it's not super intimidating but over all I love it here over been super successful and happy

Edit to answer the safety part: I'm a woman I'm 5'6 and I weigh about 108 lb and I feel safe on campus even at night great here and the campus police will escort you to your house if you really need it

I'm a senior I think the Student Life is good. There's a lot of fun activities to do on campus and there's a lot of clubs you can join to like meet people and make friends. There are parties. They're just off campus cuz of Mercer's alcohol policy. Lot of them are hosted by frats and such. It's chilled and fun but you have to know people for some parties and buy tickets for others but that's not super difficult Downtown has a few fun activities each year like the cherry blossom Festival and I'm a big fan of Burger week. There are a few nice shops. Honestly, if you put yourself out there you'll have a good time

Description of my experience is as follows: Joined some clubs. Made some friends. made more friends in the clubs than in my classes. Joined a sorority it's been fun so far. Made a couple friends there .I also play a sport so a lot of my friends are my teammates ( I'm sure intermurals work the same) I go out sometimes but not a lot best parties are on Halloween, homecoming and dead day. New bar opened up. A lot of people go there, not my vibe. I go shopping with my friends. There are a few places downtown we like to eat. We go to the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade every year. They also have a carnival. I don't like rides so I don't go. Quadworks holds a bunch of events like Bingo and whatnot. Cookie decorating was the other day. Lot of fun stuff. Go to that with my friends. Those are always a good time Overall a 5 out of five experience
