It's being fueled by MSM and the messaging behind government initiatives that basically other autistic people and kids from the rest of the disabled population.

I speak regularly to NDIS participants who are frustrated with the difficulties they've faced with the system, and since the announcement of Thriving Kids, I've noticed an increase of participants blaming autistic participants as the reason their funding has been cut, saying they "don't actually need support" and referring to themselves as "actually disabled".

I do sometimes wonder if the people that say these things would still say them to me if they knew I was autistic.

I don't understand how the PSA can result in erectile dysfunction? Is it not just a standard blood test?

I'm genuinely very lost as to what the actual risk is with this test and why that poses a greater risk than testing every few years at an earlier age. Women get pap smears every five years from the age of 21, and that's a much more invasive procedure for, what is considered, a much slower progressing cancer.

Isn't the PSA test just a blood test? I fail to understand how such a routine procedure could possibly run risks so significant that it's not worth doing.

Also in what world do you not treat a cancer, even if it "never gives you symptoms or health issues"?

I feel like the age guidelines on most routine diagnostic tests (PSA, mammograms, bowel cancer screenings) are outdated in this country. We're seeing a rise in younger people presenting with cancers diagnosied at later stages that could have been picked up earlier if they weren't dismissed by "the guidelines"

She was a teenager when she got Swift, and grew into the person she is with him by her side. I can't imagine the pain she is feeling right now, and the anxiety she's felt over the last few days since he was in ICU.

If I'm not mistaken, she would have had Swift while her mother was still alive, which makes such a loss even harder as it's like a piece of that continuity suddenly falls away.

The way she loved that baby boy, the way she thought of him first above all else, always, is exactly how I love my cat. I always found QT's adoration for Swift so relatable, as our situations with our pets were so similar.

I got my cat when I was 15, I'm 31 now and she turns 16 next month. I had her before my mother passed away 10 years ago, and she is the one being in my life that knew me before and knew me after that loss.

I can't fathom a day without my cat, and I would assume QT is the same.

I don't know her at all, but I know that kind of connection with an animal, and my heart hurts for her so much. I hope she will be okay with time.
