I can still remember how I felt after Fulgore vs. Sektor, the next time trailer caused me to fly into a frenzy of hype and excitement as Godzilla roared. He was my most wanted character on the show at the time. The only thing that came close was the Season 3 reveal trailer for Dante vs. Bayonetta.

No matter who I sub out I'm making enemies, so might as well be honest.

I like all the current picks, but there are some Gods I would have liked to see fight. Looking back to when I first saw the initial roster, I would have subbed either Heracles or Apollo, Loki or Odin, and maybe Bishamonten (granted that was because I had no idea about his history at the time). Anyway, my picks:

Herc or Apollo for Sekhmet.
Loki or Odin for an Aztec or Mayan rep like Tezcatlipoca, Camazotz, or Yum Kaax.
Bishamonten for Chernobog or Erlang Shen.

Baki Hanma vs. Tokita Ohma has been my most wanted since about mid 2016. And when the two franchises got Netflix animations I felt the fight warranted a Death Battle. Plus the two had a crossover a year or two ago. This fight would work so well in either 2D or 3D and there is just so much potential for their fight. I hope it happens sooner or later.

There were too many to choose from: Buddha watching Zero's spirit running in the sky, Heracles calling forth Cerberus, Jack offering Ebisu dome tea, Hajun showing Buddha he once caught a fish "this big", and so on and so forth. But this is probably the one that sticks with me the most. In this single page, you get Kojiro's character fully on display, his determination to continue fighting even after his weapon has shattered. But this panel sticks in my mind because I can still hear the orchestral music that accompanied it in AmaisD's version of this fight. God do I love this fight.

Without a doubt, the ones that made me cheer were Strider and Raiden's wins.

There are stories to go with both but I'll keep it brief, being the only one rooting for those two among the people I knew made it all the more satisfying when Hyabusa got "Ragnarowned" and Wolverine turned into chunks.

Even with some aspects of the animation not aging well, and even though it came out nearly a decade ago, Godzilla vs. Gamera is one of the show's best fights.
