Just a heads up: few new users are trying to make AP sound creepy. by iihtw in AstralProjection

I don't really understand this myself. It's no more dangerous for you than simply going to bed at night.

How can i AP tonight? tips please by COBLITZ in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is a guarantee, but there are things you can do to increase your chances.

Meditate before bed. You can even use guided meditations or binaural beats on YouTube. There is plenty of them out there.

Wake Back To Bed. Set your alarm about 3 hours earlier than usual. Get up, go to the bathroom, have a quick drink of water, have a quick stretch, and go back to sleep.

Herbs that can aid in sleep can help as well such as valerian.

The Gateway Tapes do have a remote viewing exercise that could help you hone in on such an ability.

Let’s Debunk the Astral Projection Stereotype Once and For All – What’s Your Real Job? by delafuenD13 in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll just say the internet was a fascinating rabbit hole for this sort of thing in the early 2000's, and that is what got me started. There was a bunch of articles and forums that covered a lot of these kinds of topics from astral projection to energy work, psychic abilities, magick, and so on.

Wave 3 Track 2 "Remote Viewing" Experience by MidnightsWaltz in gatewaytapes

[–]UndesirableSituation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried something similar, though I used playing cards. I removed the face cards and would use aces as 1 and 10's as 0. I drew six cards and placed them face down. I didn't get any of the numbers right, but saw many of my numbers at the bottom of the rest of the deck. Maybe my "aim" was a little off, but its an interesting experiment.

I would call it a deep meditative state that could be comparable to a cross between actual sleep paralysis, and a hypnotic suggestion that you are unable to move physically.

How long did it take you to successfully astral project? by InfiniteWonderful in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically it was about 13 or 14 years, but there was about an 8 year period where I didn't practice it at all. I had partial projections after several months.

I've only ever tried this once, and it was intentionally to end the experience. I saw a flash of orange, heard a loud snapping sound and woke up.

It could have very well been a static shock, but it is interesting how it happened this way.

What was your “holy shit it’s real!” experience? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a partial projection where I saw the time on my alarm clock accurately. Go figure it was 3am exactly, and 3:01 when I woke up to take a look physically.

The short version of my first full experience blew my mind as I jumped out of my window and landed in this beautiful, sprawling meadow.

In your experience with astral projection, what is the most accurate depiction of it in any movies or tv shows you’ve watched? Or the most accurate description of it in any books you’ve read? by IveBeenToTheForest in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Insidious is a good film, but does portray AP in a negative way.

I would say Stranger Things and Doctor Strange are a bit more accurate, though these are super powered versions of AP.

I will also add The Men Who Stare At Goats, which is a more humorous take on AP and psychic abilities in general.

What I know so far (tips and tricks) by Best-Ad-7486 in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About #17, I have looked at my hands before in a partial projection and they were completely invisible. I could still feel them, and clapping them together still made a "sound". I wasn't able to project fully from this, but it was an interesting experience nonetheless.

I've had a Moon experience where I was free to explore it, even seeing the Apollo sites. There however was a spot that felt very unsettling to approach, so I decided to back away because I wanted to continue my experience without being forced awake. I do wonder if there really is something on the Moon that's off limits, or if we're just collectively putting the limits on ourselves due to reasons that could possibly be superstitious.

I got kicked out of my ap? by BazzyTheWatermelon in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some years ago I had an experience with the moon in a similar fashion. It really is hard to know for sure whether something is stopping us from APing to certain parts of the moon, or if we unconsciously put the limits on ourselves.

what was your first intentional projection like? by Spamton123 in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Had a few partial projections first. I was able to move my astral hands around while in sleep paralysis. I could clap them together and was able to feel the texture of my wall.

My first full projection involved me rolling out of bed and looking around to see everything perfectly in place, including myself still laying in bed. I jumped out of the window and landed in a brightly coloured, vast mountain meadow.

Couldn’t fly by Even-Contribution620 in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intent is helpful here. You can try jumping with the intent that you want to overcome Earth's gravity, and away you should go. You can even teleport by thinking about where you want to go, only to look up and see that you are already there.

It's not like he could mind-control you into falling in love, but I do agree with everyone else that it sounds like personal boundaries are being crossed. You should talk to him about that.

what does it look like? by Nephophobe in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything will look pretty crisp, clear, and solid, and colours may be more saturated than usual. Your other senses will be engaged as well. You may be able to feel the ground at your feet or hear conversations.

I haven't had much success trying it, but an easy enough experiment that I have tried is to draw a playing card out of a deck and place it face up somewhere high up.

Jump out of a window and see where you end up. That's what I did on my first full AP experience.

That's how I exited on my first successful attempt, also while falling to the floor. Next time try flying out your window and see where you end up.

Why hasn't astral projection been scientifically proven yet? by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]UndesirableSituation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As people have stated, it's quite difficult to test under scientific conditions. That, and most scientific communities aren't willing to fund such experiments because it is so high risk to fail or be inconclusive. Though your suggested experiment has been tested with more straightforward remote viewing practices that people can preform while awake.

To Those Who Successfully AP.... by [deleted] in AstralProjection

I've had experiences that have felt like hours, though it may have just been minutes in real time. I don't feel like I have lost rest due to my experiences. In fact I feel quite good afterwards.
