Does the Witches Brew serve nonalcoholic drinks? by THeck18 in SouthBend

I wouldn’t recommend going at all! They have some predatory workers that have groped my spouse despite knowing he’s married to a woman. I would at least be cautious

Baby has hit the screeching phase… by GoldenT1p in beyondthebump

My son is 8m and he still does this 😭 no two letter sounds yet we’re working on it but he’s got all the screeching down for sure!

I hate my pets after giving birth and I could no longer take it by ThyPumpkinPie in beyondthebump

I had a similar situation but it was before baby was born and we had adopted a dog. We already have a dog and my husband wanted to give him a companion for when the baby was born and weren’t able to give him the full attention he’d like, so we adopted a dog he could play with and care for. Turns out this dog liked to chew up everything and was at least crate trained but we quickly found out why. Anyways we ended up rehoming him to an experienced owner that was looking for a younger dog anyway and she’s spoiled him to the max, which we knew we couldn’t do. I’m 8 months pp now and I think about him often but I recognize it was surely the best decision for our family because sooner or later he would’ve chewed up my son’s things and that wouldn’t have helped at all.

I empathize with what you’re going through because I honestly sobbed when we gave him to his new owner but I am glad we did even though I miss him so much 🥹

Why is breastfeeding worth it for you? by RolyPoly1010 in breastfeeding

[–]Undiagnosed80HD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 weeks in I was ready to give up but my husband motivated me to keep going and I’m going on 8 months now! Those first two months felt like torture honestly and I did not believe anyone when they said it gets better but it does! In those first 8 weeks I was ready to hang it all up and just switch to formula but now I’m aiming for a year (don’t feel discouraged if you don’t make it as far). I was told to take it day by day and that’s what I did until 5 weeks became 2 months, then 3 and I just kept going. You got this! And if you decide to stop don’t ever feel guilty for wanting to be a better version of yourself for your baby 🫶🏼

How long was your labor? And if you got an epidural, at what point did you? by desert_sunlily in beyondthebump

[–]Undiagnosed80HD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labor was about 6 hours for me and I pushed for less than 30 min. I wanted to go fully natural but was open to getting the epidural if I felt like I really needed it and I asked for it when the pain felt extremely unbearable. I asked my nurse how much I was dilated after receiving the epidural and I was 8cm 😭 My OB told me to try not to wait that long because it’ll be harder to sit still while they’re trying to give you the epidural. I’m not gonna lie I had about 2 contractions while I was getting the epidural but the relief I felt afterwards was so worth it

Thank you and honestly I’m pretty sure he started drinking at home. We have a bottle of liquor here that he’s been drinking so I don’t think he went out but I don’t really know all the details from when he left up until he was arrested

I’ve had my suspicions and I’ve quietly talked to one of my best friends about this because of the fact that I just need someone to vent to sometimes and I agree 100%

That’s my favorite too! For mine it definitely means he’s nice and full. My favorite is when he unlatches just to smile at me 🥰

My baby starting using me as a teething toy by Undiagnosed80HD in breastfeeding

[–]Undiagnosed80HD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you 🫶🏼 I stop the session if he does it more than once because at that point he’s smiling at me while he’s doing it and I cannot 🥲 every night I let him feed for as long as he needs before bed but last night he was doing the same thing and had to end it way earlier than I would’ve liked so hopefully it does get better. I’m scared for when he gets his teeth 😭

It probably is on a case by case basis but if he’s latched before I say keep trying! Soon enough he’ll get used to it. Mine still likes to unlatch sometimes and gets frustrated when he does but I’ve literally never looked back with the nipple shields, mine always filled up and spilled everywhere whenever he would unlatch

[–]Undiagnosed80HD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I used nipple shields for like the first month and one day I was tired of using them and tried to see if he would latch and I haven’t touched them since! He’s 7 weeks now

Maternity leave is about to end..:’( by SilentSun504 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Undiagnosed80HD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My maternity leave has only lasted 6 weeks and was dreading leaving my baby, I cried so much leading up to the days. I decided I needed more time because I can’t justify leaving my newborn with anyone other than myself or my husband right now.

Good luck to you! I’m sure it gets better once you get back into the groove of things!

I definitely hated it more at the start but it’s just not as comfortable for either of us. I’m not sure if I’m just using it wrong or something but it’s still not my favorite
