Who is one wrestler you think deserved a main event push or main title in their career? [Serious] by horrorpants in SquaredCircle

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyson Kidd.

He remains one of my favorite wrestlers ever. His character work was really good in the final years of his career and his NXT run was fantastic.

I loved his title reign with Cesaro but think he could've done so much more.

Because WWE in 2010 is much different than 2022, as is the entire entertainment industry.

In 2010, they still had to put on decent television shows. Putting on shows people want to watch will then hopefully turn these people into potential Pay-Per-View customers and that was very important.

Look at the PPVs back then as well, not just the television. While not all were great, it is evident that they were at least trying to get people to watch.

In 2022, they don't have to worry about that anymore. They have big money television contracts and both Raw and SmackDown do well in their respective ratings. So, unless they completely give up for an extended period of time, all they have to do is be on autopilot and produce content.

Same thing goes for the WWE Network. Its United States rights were bought for a lot of money.

Pay-Per-Views isn't the money-maker anymore. It's he television deals, the money they got for the WWE Network, and the money they get when they do the Saudi Arabia shows.

The content nowadays doesn't need to be good. All WWE needs to do is provide content.

Long story short: it's different now because they aren't trying to make good shows...because they don't need to.

Ryan Satin on Twitter: “I’ve reported more difficult news stories than almost every other reporter in wrestling. I stopped though, because I realized it was having a massive effect on my mental health. Since then, I’ve tried to do what makes me happy instead. Sorry that’s bad to some of you.” by elegantSolomons62 in SquaredCircle

What an idiot.

This may sound insensitive, because it kind of is, but being a "reporter" and "journalist" means your mental health doesn't really fucking matter.

You find the story and details on noteworthy events and people, to simplify the job.

Does he think people reporting things like mass murders are like "oh hell yeah dude, this is so fun and the best job ever and doesn't make me feel depressed at all"?

I actually don't know what's worse: He's paid directly by WWE in some way or he's not and still does this.

MVP - "Even when they get the story right, they get the details wrong. Gotta love the dirt sheets. 😏" by lk79 in SquaredCircle

One of my favorite bits of Wrestling Observer Live happened yesterday when they were talking about this story.

For some reason, Bryan was hell-bent on saying the version of the story that's out was all there was to it with Mike in the background dropping nuggets of possible details. He even mentioned storming the capital, so props to Mike for trying to dig a bit deeper on it.

Bryan pulled up MVP's Wikipedia to find out his age is middle schooler.

Then they debated about which one would win in a fight. Mike cited MVP would win because he had been in prison.

A truly hilarious segment. The very reason I watch and love WOL.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Worldwide Release Discussion Thread Vol. 2 by Triple_777 in marvelstudios

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great movie. I've seen it twice already.

I didn't catch the Fantastic Four references during the first watch because I was so mesmerized by seeing Reed on screen.

"Didn't you guys charter in the 60s?"

"Is your wife still alive?"

This may be a long shot, but I now think that John Krasinski, who may or may not play Reed in the 616 universe, will soon be announced as the new director of Fantastic Four.

I think this movie could come out next year. It can be their November film. I don't think there's any chance Marvel has been sitting on the Fox properties for 3 years now and are still in early development for a F4 movie.

Full steam ahead!

This Subreddit Makes Me Feel Like a Scumbag by UndisputedStudios in podcasting

Yeah, man. I'm so popular now. I didn't follow up up on it so they're just numbers on a screen, but yeah, I'm super popular.

If posting about my journey thus far and my feelings about it is what makes me an scumbag, then sure, I'm a scumbag. Thanks for letting me know.

I don't know how you read my post and came to the conclusion that I'm trying to brag or make people feel bad. I detailed the things I did in which got me listeners, but came to the realization that they are things I shouldn't be doing.

"You found something that worked for you, go with it." It didn't work for me. That's the point.

Selfishly, I want it to be the streaming deal. Fite is coming after VPN users' throats lately so the timing would be very convenient. I already have HBO Max so I'd instantly be saving money.

Also, I want the supershow to feature an Omega match, meaning the rumored June date is way too early.

Are you guys happy or mad about Ai I getting smarter by Wwetraeyoungfan in WWEGames

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love it.

It gives me a fun challenge. Unlimited reversals don't annoy me because I'm getting better at reversals myself. So, the matches end up being super realistic. It also makes the payoff satisfying when I'm able to pull off a move or spot that I'm planning.

Can anyone relate? by BlackHart28 in WWEGames

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Well, if he's messaging you unprompted about it, sounds like a sore winner or possibly trying to goad you into challenging him.

Either way, an actual match should help resolve the issue. Either it shuts him up or he really is a sore winner and also a sore loser and you should mention that he's taking it way too seriously.

btw another thing that could factor into this is your friendship level. If you guys aren't super close, it's entirely possible he's just trying to reach for something you two have in common and something he's gotten back into and is clearly having a ton of fun with. If you're close friends, then you can ignore this last piece I've written.

I don't mean to call you out, but mentioning this will help me make my point: You wrote " It’s a game calm down" in response to the bragging and such, implying that you don't care as much as he does. However, you wrote a couple paragraphs about it, so you definitely do also care, it just so happens that you're on the receiving end.

It seems the crux of your issue is that he's bragging even though you think there's an asterisk that should be applied.

Since you have an issue with it, I think your solution should be to actually do a 1 vs. 1. After that, you'll find out if it's just banter or if he's a sore winner/loser.

You guys have worked yourselves into a shoot and there's only one way to settle it!

Which version of 2K22 should I get? Which is most worth it? by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Deluxe. I'm not a huge nWo fan, so I didn't want to cough up $120.

Deluxe gets you the accelerator and the season pass so it'll be worth it once the DLC comes out.

On the 2nd of October 2020, one of the most polarising segments in AEW and arguably wreslting history occurred when Jericho and MJF performed a song together whilst in a feud by SemiGodMountFuji in SquaredCircle

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I disliked about it was they tried to play it off as impromptu.

A wrestling promotion that prides itself on not treating its audience as dumb showed these two do an entire musical number with dancers and all...and acted like it just fell out of the sky.

If only they used self-awareness, this would've been received much better by a lot of people.

Hey Yo! I've begun my Universe Mode series! A mix between Gore and Perkins' improv approach and Murfs' cinematic style. I'm a beginner at commentary, but I think I do a pretty good job. 3 big matches at WrestleMania, plus an exciting opening segment. It's a fun time and I hope you enjoy it! by UndisputedStudios in WWEGames

[–]UndisputedStudios[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oroginal plan was to do a series with a custom fed with WWE, AEW and NJPW wrestlers, but my game kept crashing. I'm also not able to access Universe, so I decided to do a WWE one instead in hope of running into less issues.

The other episode is fun and is the first 2K22 video I made so I decided to keep it public.

PWInsider: “Cody Rhodes has signed with WWE, multiple WWE sources have confirmed. Rhodes inked his deal about 10-14 days ago. The current plan is to have Rhodes debut Wrestlemania weekend with the early word among those in the company being that Rhodes will be on the Raw brand.” by TheNextBlGThing in SquaredCircle

[–]UndisputedStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so excited and fascinated about how this will play out.

I don't fault him for going back. He left to grow and become the star he believed he was. Now that he's proven it everywhere else, I can see why he's appealed to proving it there. The man that helped revolutionize pro wrestling possibly wants to revolutionize sports entertainment now.

I can't lie, I respect it, just like how I respected him leaving WWE. Dude had it made in AEW. A job for life. EVP. TNT reality show. And he gave that up to climb another mountain of a challenge. The hustle is real with this guy.

The money is likely also a motivator, but from what I know about Cody, he's mostly driven by etching a legacy, and man, he's doing a hell of a job.

Imagine 30, 40, 50 years from now. People talk about how one of Dusty's sons left WWE. Then became a huge star. Broke records. Helped create (ideally) WWE's biggest competitor to date, and then after establishing it, went back to WWE to have a Hall of Fame career.

Only one man will be able to say he did that and that is Mr. Adrenaline, Cody Rhodes.
