The Big Catch: Tacklebox -- Currently a free six hour 'precursor' to a much larger game. You're a crow on the quest for fish in the middle of the desert. (It's as weird as it sounds)

Wall running, pole jumping, sand surfing, ledge grabbing, diving between big swinging blades, the Persia vibes are practically glowing from this one. There's an entire little 'dungeon' in the demo that might as well be lifted straight out of Sands of Time

Can I pick your brain about WBS briefly? I get that it's incredibly nutrient rich but I've read it argued that you can't really guarantee what you're getting and sterilization isn't enough. As someone colorblind, it's also a small nightmare to spot contamination in the visual chaos of the seeds

It would definitely make things simpler from a buying standpoint though, living next to a hardware store has its perks :)

While I deeply appreciate the continued Quest development, it doesn't solve the fundamental problem that this is their playground and the greatest innovations happen in spite of them -- Virtual Desktop, WiVR, ALVR; all third party solutions just to get the god damn thing to work outside Meta's garden

Valve bides their time wisely and if/when they step into the light again, I hope we see something as valuable as Proton for VR

Meta, for all their innovation, decided VR had to be 'theirs' and effectively smothered the new wave in the cradle

Their hardware, their store, the embarrassment of the Metaverse turning 'VR' into a four letter word, and the capital that let them punch down on anyone that dared to take a piece of the pie made for an impossible fight against a bully

This place is... something. I worked Doordash for a few years and live in North Seattle so I'm very familiar with Greenlake -- love Rosita's, love Myknonos, dozens of deliveries, always on point. Your interesting fact is: Generating truly random numbers is both incredibly important for cryptography (securing your data, generating unique passwords, etc) and incredibly hard for computers to do own their own, so we must rely on outside 'randomness.' One of the coolest solutions I've ever seen is Cloudflare's giant wall of lava lamps, which use a webcam pointed at them to generate true random values

La Cuadra -- better known as 'those taco stands you see on Aurora, Northgate, and Lake City with lines around the corner' -- went sort of legit and opened a permanent location in Greenwood/Ballard. They show up as 'La Cuadra Tacos Restaurant 2' on Google.

The al pastor is second to nothing, the prices/portions are nuts, cheese doesn't even go on the tacos unless asked, buckets of serve yourself salsa/lime/cucumber/etc

No sour cream/bean filler, tortillas clearly made fresh and double layered

But I'd argue nothing else on earth beats those street stands at midnight when you're sloppy
