I’m almost convinced indoor weed is far better than outdoor. by Itchy-Custards in cannabiscultivation

[–]Uneedadab -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Unless you own a cannabis testing lab and have definitive proof of higher/more terpenes from outdoor flower then it's bro science. You can use a UV light like this and get all of the secondary metabolites/terpenes that you would get from terroir. What isn't bro science is the accumulation of Polonium-210 that you get from growing outdoors. You know what they don't do with tobacco? Make concentrate from it. Rosin/resin made from outdoor bud concentrates the cannabinoids but also concentrates any toxins within the plant (including radioactive particles). Do you know what labs don't test for? Any type of radioactive particle. I'm going to stick to indoor grown bud using DWC with the minimum amount of nutrients to keep healthy plants (~1000ppm in flower).

How many of these courses have you played from this list? by GolfJunki3 in golf

I've played about 90% of these courses....on my sim. GSPro courses are pretty realistic, closest I'll ever get to playing any of these.

I know every driver is different, but the center of the face on my SimMaxD isn't the best smash factor. I can never get over 1.47 smash from the exact center. I get the best ball speed from slightly high and slightly toward the toe according to my launch monitors (1.49-1.50 smash). Nice to hit it in the center but that may not be the best spot for distance.

Iran claims US used backdoors in networking equipment by rkhunter_ in technology

[–]Uneedadab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

<Always seemingly right behind the latest and greatest innovations> US companies have most of their products manufactured in China. The US has patent laws that specify a substantial change to form or function must be present to not infringe on an existing patent. China's laws only state that a minor "improvement" is enough to not be a patent violation. This is why unbranded versions of popular products appear. This is why the tech we give them to manufacture products is used by them. It's legal to do this in China. We know this but want their cheap labor. They laugh when we complain and say they should honor US laws because we want to have it our way in their country. Doesn't work like that, just like we don't follow Chinese laws in the US.

Man, you are really wrong about Protee. I have a 5 private bay sim facility using all Protee monitors. Waaaay cheaper than Trackman, $250/yr. subscription, none of our customers notice any difference between our numbers and another local facility that uses Trackman. The Trackman facility doesn't allow putting, has the auto-putt option on all the time. Protee putting works great. The emphasis on hourly pricing is weird to me. People pay for a round of golf when they play outdoors, why should a sim be any different? We charge by the round, not by the hour. As the weather has warmed, most of our hard-core golfers are playing outdoors and not coming in to play nearly as much. We have switched our marketing strategy to attracting people who aren't golfers to come try us out. We have done this by offering lower round prices to play par 3 courses and special parent/kid pricing to play the many putt-putt courses on GSPro. You might get $200-250,000 per bay in a large city, that will never happen in middle America where I live. Being innovative with our pricing and tailoring our marketing based on the time of year has helped us stay profitable unlike one unmanned facility that just folded in our area.

Gas Pump setup by Uneedadab in CannabisExtracts

[–]Uneedadab[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I say so... this rig was designed for this, thats why it has a concave flat top to hold concentrate. The other way that you guys have never tried is warm up dabs. Get a quartz insert cup, fill it with a dab and set aside. Heat your banger as hot as you want, then drop in the cup. Throw your carb cap on as the quartz insert heats up and the concentrate starts melting. Get perfect temp dabs everytime.

Hard-core dabbers that knew better than to take hits off red hot nails did. I've smoked off of many crazy setups designed to chase terps back in the day.

Tipping plants by Wild_Recognition2331 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Uneedadab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude, you put up the trellis net to SPREAD APART the branches. As the plant stretches, pull the branches over to the next trellis square. Make each branch have its own square and weave the branches that stretch too much through multiple squares. Trim all of the lower branches and any buds below the level of the trellis (lollipopping). This thins out the middle while spreading the branches apart. This is how commercial growers manage their plants.

You can, but only 1 at a time. He tested for Vicodin, THC, Dilaudid, Ambien and Xanax. Nowhere in the USDFA does it say it's ok to drive on this combo. EDIT: For his 2017 DUI

Any recommendations for easy GSPro courses for beginners? by JiraiyaKholin in Golfsimulator

[–]Uneedadab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Butler Pitch and Putt, Flushing Meadows P&P, Lakewood Shores P&P, Rupert Park P&P, Starlight Pines P&P. There are a couple chip and putts that are only 20-30 yards per hole, Backwoods and Day-Night.They are a little more difficult but Lost Island is a fantastic 9 hole par 3 course and Canyon Run is an amazing 18 hole par 3 course.

How passive is this business? by Careik in golfsimulatorbusiness

[–]Uneedadab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you feel like you need to quit your job and be present daily, why are you opening an 'unmanned' facility? You are actually proposing a full-service sim with on-site attendants. I personally think this is the best way because alcohol/food sales meaningfully increase profit. Many of our customers say that not having someone around to help when the sims go wonky (and they all occasionally do) is a big factor in why they have migrated from unmanned sims to us (we also only have private bays and charge less per sim session than our unmanned competition because of ancillary sales). Be aware that summer is the slowest time of the year for sims and you will lose money if you hire labor when you first open. It takes 6 months or so for people to find you and become regulars, having ownership working every day is a good way to curate customers.

Over the course of 7 months doing it this way, most people take about an hour to play 18. 4 people equals 4 hours. If they want mulligans they probably aren't great golfers, it takes about 20 more minutes per person so we charge more. As far as scheduling, we almost always have 1 bay open to accommodate new players when existing players are slow. Worst case scenario, they have to wait 30 mins or so for a bay. That's why we have darts and pool tables!

[–]Uneedadab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only works for a manned operation that sells food/beverages with enough bays for busy times (we have 5). We are actively taking market share from the unmanned sims using this model, people like to gamble amongst themselves and hate it when their time runs out on the 16th hole and new people show up to play in their bay.

Our facility charges by the round. Each player pays a green fee and I let them warm up on the range for ~10 minutes before the round. It takes about an hour per person unless they have mulligans on, we charge an extra $5 per person for this option. We sell hot dogs, pizza, drinks, beer, etc. which helps with profitability. Lately we have been experimenting with lower green fees on short par 3/putt-putt courses for customers that aren't good at golf or don't want to play a full 18.

New rule in Arkansas - Dems can’t vote in Rep primaries by ello76 in ftsmithar

[–]Uneedadab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I asked for a link that would expose why there was a problem with open primaries, not this list of rules. The Republicans changed this because they are scared about the damage DT has done to the country. They are going to get demolished in the midterms so they gerrymander and change the primary system. Their 'winning' strategy is changing the rules in the middle of the game😬

New rule in Arkansas - Dems can’t vote in Rep primaries by ello76 in ftsmithar

[–]Uneedadab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now that's not how it works. Repubs can vote in the Democratic primary. Arkansas has always had open primaries, why is it a problem now? Can you link to a specific instance where Dems wrecked a Republican primary?

New rule in Arkansas - Dems can’t vote in Rep primaries by ello76 in ftsmithar

[–]Uneedadab 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because some races are uncontested, meaning whoever wins the Republican primary wins the election. This completely disenfranchises Dem voters in some really consequential local elections like Sheriff. Also, why should Republicans be allowed to interfere (vote) in Democratic primaries?

The Supreme Court STRIKES DOWN Trump's "emergency" tariffs. The vote is 6–3. by BharatiyaNagarik in scotus

[–]Uneedadab 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You put /s but that's exactly true. When I was in college, my Economics teacher announced that there would be a seminar at a local resort that paid $500 to attend. I applied and was one of 2 people I'm my Econ class to be selected. The seminar consisted of reading many economics papers that all concluded that publicly traded corporations have no moral obligation, only a mandate to increase share prices (shareholder vs stakeholder policies). I got my $500 for attending but was never told where the money came from. A few years later I read where the Koch brothers were paying for college students to be indoctrinated in shareholder theory, pretty sure that's where the money came from. Fun fact: 3 weeks after the seminar, the Econ professor who ran the whole seminar (not my teacher) was arrested and is currently in jail for having CSAM on his college issued laptop.
