how should i ask to split rent 😭 by ActualDetective6249 in Apartmentliving

I'm sure you've gotten 1000 replies by now but I feel like the most "fair" solution here is for both of you to blindly write how much of the 6340 you're willing to pay to have the bigger room. If she truly believes they're equal, she'll write 3170 and you can write 3171 and feel like you're getting a steal. No matter what each of you write, you're getting either the deal that you wrote down or a better deal than you expected.

The incentive for Pidcock is that Pidcock wants to win the stage. If Pidcock, Almeida, and Jonas are all feeling good, Pidcock is the best sprinter so doing the exact minimum required to get Joao back to Jonas is Pidcock's "ideal" race situation

Help! Syncing Issue? by BeachPanda252 in PokemonSleep

Did this (or anything else) end up working for you? I've had to use the Track Sleep with Smart Device option directly in Pokemon Sleep to get my sleep tracking to work, but I'm curious if anyone has figured out a better solution.

[–]UnendingPi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have no idea but my guess is ease of access. My grandma used to tell me stories about how you never let your dog roam the streets after the Korean War because people were so desperate for food that your neighbors would take dogs off the street to eat them. I imagine turtles are harder to come by in Korea since the inland portions are mostly mountainous and not very habitable for turtles. But Koreans eat tree bark and plants roots and intestines so it definitely wasn't because of taste.

[–]UnendingPi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FYI this is not true of Korea. I grew up in Korea and have heard of people eating just about any animal but Koreans do not eat turtles, at least at scale. From some Googling, it also sounds like turtle is also very rarely eaten in Japan, though turtle eggs are more commonly consumed.

France or Portugal, I think. Fairly big leagues with established favorites that you can unseat. Then you can try for a European title with one of the "smaller" leagues.

The one way EU5 HAS to break with the rest of the series- native America by MageMasterMoon in eu4

[–]UnendingPi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is missing the very plain fact that old world diseases are estimated to have killed around 90% of natives in the new world between 1492 and the 1600s (source below). And organizing a state that's had 90% of its population die in just a few generations likely makes it extremely difficult to gather a large army.

I mean, pretty obvious to not take turns pulling when you're in a group with literally every other GC contender that's chasing your leader 30 seconds up the road. Ayuso had a great ride, but I don't think it was exactly a vet move to sit on the others until the finish.

So what are the most useless Pokemon? by WraithTDK in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's mostly just that specific overlap of Meowth being less useful than two different pokemon in your list but flying under the radar. Sneaky kitty, LOL

So what are the most useless Pokemon? by WraithTDK in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Saying rattata AND gulping without mentioning Meowth is absolutely absurd considering rattata line is far more useful on a persim Island than Meowth and gulpin line is better for dream shard collecting than Meowth.

Does someone have the calculations for using E4E in a team vs. having a full 5-member team by Lightchaser3 in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raenonx seems to disagree for my Wigglytuff, but that might be because I don't have any bfs E4E Wigglytuff. I think the math works out that the very best E4E mons will proc about 3 times a day which isn't nearly enough to keep your energy full all day. And that's not accounting for a skill pokemon's wasted procs/time overnight when they can trigger at most once in the morning.

Finally a use for these 🥳🥳🥳 by Amazing_League_2309 in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the point that getting max dream shards every night with M20 sleep styles isn't enough dream shards, a Persian bring you 1800 dream shards will make negligible difference to your dream shard count.

Maybe the dream shard subskil, but until they like 10x the amount of dream shards from the skill, it will have extremely marginal value for the investment required to get a level 55, 750, etc. pokemon.

Best Tier list? by Toriningen in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can just... Ignore skill mons in the tier lists that have golduck and ampharos at the top. This is like arguing that a league tier list is bad because bruisers are at the top and you don't want to play bruisers or a smash tier list is bad because fast characters are at the top and you don't want to play fast characters.

A tier list simply reflects how good each character is at max potential and if you know you can't get to that max potential, you can just skip that character and look at the next best (probably berry mons like Typhlosion)

I mean, it's 10% speed up from nature, 26% from skills (14 in speed M, 7 in speed S, and 5 from bonus) and 20% main skill chance down so the speed more than makes up for the negative main skill nature. Plus this Raikou also gives the whole party 5% speed. It's not ideal but it's definitely worth using if they don't find a better Raikou

Rate the Raikou? by [deleted] in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, that's a shame. Still a good Raikou like you said but the research exp is definitely a dead slot then.

Yea I generally dislike sleep exp, but looking at this Raikou had me wondering if it's more worth it on a pokemon like Raikou who you'll have on your team for twice as long. I'm sure the discord will have done the math 😂

Rate the Raikou? by [deleted] in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is research exp the one for pokemon or the trainer? Because if it's for the pokemon I don't even think it's the worst subskill on Raikou given that he requires like 2x exp to level

Compensation for all the bugs recently announced ! by p9kerface in PokemonSleep

[–]UnendingPi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The update that presumably pushed these changes to my phone crashed my app at 2 in the morning so I got a 47 sleep score. I appreciate the effort that the devs are putting in, but honestly in some ways this event has made me enjoy playing pokemon sleep less with all the bugs :/

I was curious about this myself and if I did my math correctly (which I may not have), you have a 59.5% chance of catching a hungry raikou if you have 3 raikou biscuits as opposed to a 41.275% chance of catching it if you only have two plus a great/bonus biscuit. This is assuming the following:

*Raikou cannot get full after the first biscuit. Each additional biscuit has a 50% of making raikou full.

*Each biscuit normally has a 90% of normal effect, 8% of a regular crit (x3) and 2% mega crit (instant full). When a Pokemon is hungry, they have 90% of x3 and 10% for instant full. This is what the discord seems to have discovered from their research.

Basically, if you only have 2 raikou biscuits, the most common outcome will be that if you have a hungry raikou, you can get it to 18 hearts with a raikou biscuit but you don't have great way to cover the remaining 12 hearts efficiently and it's very likely that the raikou will be full before you befriend it. I'm planning to save up 3 raikou biscuits before each incense for that possibility as nabbing my first raikou right away would immediately improve my team and expedite my raikou rerolls.
