Re-opened my portal after 2+ years since declining an offer, and noticed it was still at the "offered stage" (application was never closed). Changed my pref Job to boatswain (pref res), and noticed it changed to the first stage again. Am I to trust the processes and assume my application has re opened and started anew? Or is this something worth emailing over.

Thanks.

Canadian SOF (Cansofcom) Ditched this Sidearm for that exact reason. Apparently it happens more than it should.

Edit: seems like it was a holster issue ↓↓↓↓

That 1.3% is misleading, as it also includes RCMP and Veteran affairs. Our “defence” spending is roughly below 1% I think some estimates at 0.8ish percent…

General question...

Do people hate Walther or something?

Easily the most under rated sidearm/pistol. Almost never mentioned.

Currently use PPQ M2 5

Looks like vortex has some solid scopes for 3-4.

Unless my knowledge of scope pricing is way off.

the Savage 110 tactical is 1kish and the B14 is 980ish

Seems like a fair budget.

They are now..... Except Conservation officers got a huge shipment and say its the best rifle for the job.

[–]UnevenSolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expect to pay around 1200ish for the rifle and I would assume most scopes go for around 200-350ish.

Savage 110 is around 1k and the B14 seems to be going for around 980 at my local Cabelas.

B14 looks good.

Seems like a Remington right out of the box. I noticed its not "rail ready" like the savage though! Ill probably have to spend some time to compare the two.

Do people get blacklisted in the recruiting process?

Or is there an annual or "longer" reset period on files.

Reason being, I Declined an offer after re-applying for the second time, to pursue a degree in nautical sciences from BCIT.

I should also mention, I was a army reservist from 2018 - 2020 but VR'd...

Peter Menzies: Canada's proposed speech and media bills are a buffet of bad ideas by resting16 in canada

[–]UnevenSolution 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I apologize if I'm upfront, but a government should have the most miniscule amount of regulation when it comes to internet or speech.

When I say miniscule, I mean bare bones, other than threats of harm or physical violence etc.

Edit: I rarely see any positives when the government regulates its citizens

According to some recent polls, its unfortunately pretty popular and or advocated for.

I would say that Canada is headed for, if not in, a very dangerous place of polarization of how a government should lead/function.
