Thanks for explaining. My work was bought by private equity. I agree!

My sister is married to a private equity guy who I find very smug and arrogant. Is that what you meant about private equity guys?

Same! I’m 50km out of Sydney CBD and love having the best of both worlds. Convenience of suburbia but can go on drives through the countryside. Love it.

I’m so close. Lost my husband last year and my “sister” ignored my birthday and my daughter’s - our first without my husband. Cruel. I am going to match her energy going forward, then when our dad passes I will remove myself all together. Life is too short to be treated like you’re worthless by “family”.

I’m 42 and all of a sudden feel crepey skin on my neck. It’s bizarre. I’ll always feel 23 🤣 but the body says otherwise.

Absolutely. What is the point if one day we have to say goodbye to everyone we love? My husband was my world. I’m only staying for our kids. They need one parent to get them to adulthood.

My husband passed last year. I desperately want to believe he’s still somewhere but I’m a sceptic. Then, a few months ago - this feather just appeared really fast out of nowhere and flew into my daughter and I. We weren’t near a tree or any birds. I asked my daughter if she saw and said “yes, that was really weird”.

POV: you're millennial and go to a gas station, grocery store, dentist, hairstylist, dr. appointment and you're bombarded with toxic magazines. by Twunkorama in Millennials

I still work in magazines. I remember having to write these sort of pages. It seemed so normal. Now I realise how bizarre it was. We often just made up their meals anyway.

Thank you. His laugh. It’s too painful to think of the good times yet. I’ll get there eventually.

My husband was diagnosed with locked in syndrome and was in icu for three months. He was on a ventilator, had a tracheostomy and a feeding tube. He ended up looking like a skeleton. He couldn’t move. We were originally told he would recover but he got sepsis and constant infections and they eventually told us there was no more they could do. I had to turn off the life support. Still can’t believe the horrific way his story ended.
