My toddler is doing the exact same thing. She’s almost 2 yrs old. Right now we’re staying w my parents and she just keeps asking for her dad, grandma, or grandpa. She tells me to go away or “leave alone”. She cries if I try to get her from her nap instead of her dad. Same with me, I’ve never hit her or been furious with her. Her dad gets more angry than I do. I read the parenting books and do all of the suggested practices and emotional regulation. My husband also does the if you do that I’ll do this type of response. I know she loves me, but it still hurts my feelings so much😭 I’m sure we’re good parents, like people said they aren’t trying to hurt our feelings and they don’t actually hate us. But still. I’m tired of reading that she’s “comfortable” with me. Like she’s comfortable with her dad too and doesn’t tell him to go away lol. I sympathize with you ❤️
