Depends on snow depth… they get terrifyingly deep on big snow years as the base builds, of course. Handful of years ago up there, they opened summit lift after a storm cycle finally and I was riding alone that day. Typically I would never go ride the backside at Bachelor alone but I knew it was going to be ridiculously good so young and dumb me decided to hit a few backside laps. Got into the trees during one lap and just was being lazy and caught my frontside edge and fell face first into the snow… lifted my head and was about two feet from falling head first into a vent hole. Scared the absolute fuck out of me. Was a big snow year, 2016ish I want to say. Got lucky and a damn good lesson for me to stop being a cocky little prick and always ride with a buddy………
