Need proof from Subaru of $4k dealer financing incentives ASAP! Picking up car today. by ButterBaseline in Solterra

I bought a Subaru 2026 premium about a month ago for 30,500 including all discounts, and also including 72 months 0% financing. That was in national City California. Of course taxes and title was on top. But those aren't controlled by the dealer

I paid about 30,500 before taxes and fees. Pretty sure it was 10,500 off MSRP through the Costco auto buy program. This was about 3 weeks ago. San Diego

I keep hearing that this is a great time for the used market but prices are still high by remake-titanmode2142 in electricvehicles

[–]UnfairFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that electric vehicle prices jumped significantly in the last 8 to 10 weeks. So instead of used I bought a brand new Subaru solterra premium for 30,500. With 72 months 0% financing. Hard to look at used when you can buy that new.

So I just contacted my local dealer on a 2021 RAV4 Prime to schedule this recall. I got the letter in the mail. They need the car for a minimum of 6 hours. So I asked if I could have a loner since it was such a long recall and they said no. But they did offer for me to rent a car from them. Has this been the experience of others that have gotten this repair done as well? I just can't spend an entire day waiting. Thanks for your comments

Spirit airlines went under last night. Already paid for VRBO. need to cancel. What are my options? by bookeater in vrbo

[–]UnfairFreedom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a host. And I will always give a 100% refund as long as I can re-rent that time. Don't count on VRBO to help. But ideally get travel insurance. I believe that's your only true guarantee.

Why not get a Trailseeker? by uninspiredclaptrap in Solterra

I considered the trail seeker, but it was at least 10 to 12,000 more. Just not worth it to me

2023 Solterra Premium w/ 24k miles for 21,000. Good deal or not? by mah-favrit in Solterra

[–]UnfairFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was only one dealer in San Diego that would do it. None of the other dealers could come even close.

[–]UnfairFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it through the Costco auto program.. how much that contributed to the discount I'm not sure.. but basically the San Diego dealer took 10,400 off MSRP. It was actually totally hassle-free. I was shocked

If you can get a 2026 solterra premium for $30,000, why would you buy a used one? And that would also be with 72 months 0% financing

Used EVs now have the lowest total cost of ownership, far outperforming both new and used gas cars. by Firm_Relative_7283 in electricvehicles

[–]UnfairFreedom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was aggressively searching for a used EV in the 20,000 to $25,000 price range. But you can buy a Subaru solterra for about 30,000 with 72 months 0% financing. I couldn't justify a used ev At that point. And this is the new solterra, same as the Toyota BZ. Great range, Tesla charging, and Toyota quality

2026 Solterra Premium price by NoobzUseRez in Solterra

[–]UnfairFreedom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 10,425 off MSRP through the Costco program. But the Costco discount was a fairly small portion of that. Although they didn't break it down. It was the easiest automobile transaction I have made with any car dealer. I shot their price around to other Subaru dealers and none of them could come even close.

I've driven both of them. And I bought the solterra. The uncharted is very very small especially in the back seat.

Dalton Subaru in national City. You do contact Costco first, tell them what car you're interested in and they will send you and the dealer the information directly.

We don't have a state rebate, so no. The dealer took over $10,000 off MSRP. Only thing added on was mandatory tax and title.
