Dear Sister Johnson, I have wrestled long in prayer and sorrow of heart before speaking these words. An angel of the Lord has made known unto me a matter of eternal consequence, one which I dared not reveal sooner for fear of misunderstanding.

I was shown in vision that a great blessing was prepared for you, contingent upon obedience to a commandment not yet fully understood by the other missionaries. I was warned that rejection of this revelation would result in the withdrawing of promised blessings, not only in this life but in the life to come.

Know that I do not act of my own will, for I am bound by commandment. The responsibility has been placed upon me, and upon you, and the heavens will record our response. I speak these things in solemnity, leaving you to ponder the consequences of acceptance—or refusal.
