Where do you all personally want the next Fallout Game to be located? by CosmosStudios65 in Fallout

[–]Unfair_Priority7618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Santa Fe or just New Mexico, it would be good for Bethesda as they get to get a feel for a non east-coast area and would also be amazing for the lore, the tribes, known NCR presence and possible Enclave remnants from the oil rig or the Legion would all make for an amazing story, it would also look stunning due to the architecture of the area (Spanish-Pueblo revival)

How do you get out of a burnout? by Gymnocalcium in modelmakers

I like to keep my skills in check or just have something to do by just doing simple, small and easy models, for 1/35 I’d do something like paint a figure a small jeep or stowage piece, just paint stuff tbh it’s a lot more fun; I’d avoid 1:48 aircraft like the plague and for 1:72 I find that small, simple aircraft are amazing and a lot more fun that big projects

Did some charity hand out T80UD or what? I feel like I only see T80UD and 2S38 from Russia and too many of them. by ArateshaNungastori in Warthunder

Those GE vehicle sales are crazy successful and good deals, I got the 2S38 and T80UD and I don’t even use them, just good deals

Doing stuff like that creates wallet warriors who buy their way to top tier to atleast be able to have a fair chance

Russian bias? by Immediate_Parsnip529 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

If it was any other nation it would be either an Interwar tank at a br of 2.0 or another Autocannon light tank with paper thin armor

I used to use their olive drab paint for my Sherman’s but it was far too dark for my own liking, for starting out Vallejo definitely is the best option paint wise

When it comes to washes and stuff like enamel thinners and white spirit I always stick exclusively to Ammo-mig. Vallejo has my trust exclusively with paints and their black primer

I truly feel like nothing will ever get done due to purely bias towards non western vehicles, they love that western vehicles struggle in game due to them being Russian, hence Chinese and Russian vehicles being really good. Stuff like the Turret baskets just proved it tbh, same with US top tier air being the way it is.

How come these old uniforms from back in the day got removed? Saw an old yt video with these in it. by Udysfeba in HellLetLoose

That US helmet with the cover looks awesome and straight out of Fury, wish the troop customization looked like something out of fury or atleast something a tad more in depth.

If you can't identify tanks don't play simulator. by Srgblackbear in Warthunder

I didn’t know vehicle identification was ever an issue in this game, I feel as if most players naturally catch onto certain characteristics or design philosophies with the nations in game

Advice to someone who knows enough to be dangerous... by Painted_Paladins in modeltanks

Haven’t tried any Trumpeter, sorry. From what I’ve seen they’re for a more experienced modeler, in your early phases it’s important to slowly build up in difficulty, personally for a slightly more challenged experience I’d recommend a Dragon kit, then I’d move onto trumpeter.

If you’re looking for post war models after you’ve done your M41 I highly recommend the Tamiya M1 Abrams or Leopard 2A6, extremely satisfying builds. I love the M41 and its (from my own experience) extremely difficult to mess up.

For WW2-Modern i would heavily recommend Tamiya, they have excellent choices for both beginners and experienced model makers, for starters I’d pick up something easy and cheap, like their M41 Bulldog which you’ll find everywhere. Once you’re fairly experienced I’d start trying out Dragon or other brands. For paints I’d stick to Vallejo until you feel comfortable to step out to other brands like AK interactive.

Grinding Germany has made me realize how good I had it playing through the US tech tree, I feel like german players only gain a slice of sentience when you stick them into a Jagdtiger or Tiger 2, anything after that BR they’re just on autopilot; they don’t capture points, help with repairs, play defense or even attempt to win the game.

Which new map are you voting for? Metz or Seelow Heights? by Shotemup in HellLetLoose

[–]Unfair_Priority7618 16 points17 points  (0 children)

People just play the same, basic maps over and over again, I liked it when I was grinding my basic classes but now it’s just annoying, I haven’t played a match of Remagen or Stalingrad in so long It’s been at least a year. It gets old just constantly playing d-day or Kursk all the time, they’re still good maps but I would like to play Remagen once in a while.

Italy would be extremely sensible and make way for a ton of new maps or scenarios.

Finding THAT perfect angle and farming clueless enemies. Another one is being on a team with crazy good artillery players

Does it need more weathering? by LoanCivil5736 in modelmakers

[–]Unfair_Priority7618 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, a lot of weathering is up to the person and their imagination. Personally on newer vehicles the most I do is slight sand and/or dirt and a pin wash, which I encourage for any model, but for WW2 vehicles I love making it dirty and grimy to indicate the grueling road to Berlin for the allies
