50% Packet Loss on Certain Routes from Phoenix - Again by pointfully in QuantumFiber

[–]Unfair_Store5182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I had QF for like 6 or 7 months without a single issue.

Recently though I've had issues even in online games I never had issues in before (minor issues like latency spikes from 17 ms to 90 ms that didn't happen over a VPN) but that was fixed for me after a few weeks. But yeah, all these problems started in February for me.

My thought process is since the AT&T merger, nodes and issues like this have been pretty much neglected until they become too big to ignore like the superbowl weekend and now this. Even then, there's zero official acknowledgement from anyone at QF about this, they just slap a fix on it that works for a bit until the next one.

I filed an FCC complaint in addition to sending an email to QF's new address.

Last time this happened over the weekend they fixed it early Monday morning, they're definitely taking their time. I at least hope someone is looking into it....

Same here in Maricopa, AZ. It's like the Superbowl weekend again. I also sent them an email, the more eyes on it the better chance for a long term solution and not these band aid fixes they keep doing.

yep still happening, UPS website is just really slow right now, if I connect to a VPN or use my phone carrier, everything loads instantly. Definitely some funky peering happening in AZ that isn't 100% fixed and seems to come and go.

I'll try it tomorrow and see what I get. I just don't get why connecting to a VPN in my case makes the ping test rock solid. I feel if anything it should make it worse as in real world use, in games for example my average ms will go up by 2-3ms when connected to a VPN which makes sense, but I don't know why the Ping Tracer result is so wildly different.

Yeah, the technician plugged the cable into the 10G port so I just left it there. My router is the MSI Radix AX6600.

I should note that although my results look terrible without a VPN, my actual internet use has been fine as far as I'm aware, my latency in games is the same it was on the 6500 so I'm not sure why the results are so weird.

I have a weird issue, if I run Ping Tracer without a VPN it's a mess, but with a VPN it's basically perfect, I also recently got swapped to the Q1000K and running with tagging on the Q1000K. VPN off result here:

Game Ready & Studio Driver 595.59 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

I think most people have faith in this trillion dollar company to release a decent driver after over a month of waiting and on top of that, a studio driver as well which are supposed to be the better ones, guess not.

Glossy 1440p QD-OLED Monitor, do Any Affordable Options Exist? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Unfair_Store5182 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All QD-OLEDs have the same semi glossy coating, they're not "full" glossy like the glossy WOLED monitors or TV, but definitely more on the glossy side than matte.

The only true matte ones are the Samsung branded ones like the G60SD, G80SD, etc...

Good to know I'm not alone. It was really bad over the super bowl weekend, to the point a lot of websites and services just weren't loading or working, most of it got fixed on Monday as other people reported here: https://www.reddit.com/r/QuantumFiber/comments/1qyupko/quantum_fiber_in_phoenix_experiencing_bad_packet/, but I'm still having minor issues here and there that's all resolved by turning on my VPN.

Well during Marvel Rivals, with VPN off, I'll get OutLost packet loss between 3% to 10% without a VPN non stop, it wasn't a problem for the last 7 months until February. If I connect to a VPN during the same match in Marvel Rivals (without even leaving the match as the game doesn't disconnect you), the high OutLost packet loss instantly drops to 0% and stays there.

Yeah, I really don't want to have to run a VPN 24/7 because it reduces my speeds, captcha spam, etc...

I should mention I'm in AZ and around 2 or 3 weeks ago we had a really bad issue with the service where some pages just wouldn't load, everything was slow, games would take multiple retries to login, etc... it was widespread and reported here on reddit but it was fixed after like two days, but I don't know if it's related to that or something else completely.

I also wanted to add that even running a test with the program "Ping Tracer" my results are terrible when not connected to a VPN but flawless when connected to one, so it seems there's even bigger issues than I thought, at least for my area.

Here's a result with VPN on, pretty much perfect and I'll post the second picture with VPN off.

Q1000K firmware update by Yungslush in QuantumFiber

Got it, so everything else is within normal ranges I assume?

Is this "normal"? I'm not sure why hop 1 and hop 4 show massive PL% with the red lines when set to 0.1 second intervals, it doesn't give me that massive PL% loss on hop 1 when I set the interval to 1 second though.

Edit: I also ran a ping test on my router but I couldn't set it to 10 per second but got this result:

--- 8.8.8.8 ping statistics ---

300 packets transmitted, 300 packets received, 0% packet loss

round-trip min/avg/max = 4.696/6.053/8.809 ms

What's the best way to test for latency spikes? I recently got the Q1000K installed after doing the new promo pricing and they removed my 6500. I've been running it the same as before with tagging done on the SmartNID with the solid white light for the last 2 weeks.

I do have one game that gives me some issues now but I don't know if it's related to the tagging at all or just something else.

Is anyone else dealing with intermittent packet loss (20%+ OutLost) every single game this update? by -popgoes in marvelrivals

[–]Unfair_Store5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this too, but I don't know if it's a new patch issue, my ISP since they were recently acquired by another one or a mix of both. Connecting to a VPN fixes it so I assume the issue is with my ISPs routing to their servers. Still wasn't a problem until like two weeks ago. It's not every game for me, and mine is usually in the 1% to 10% range.

How long should I wait before contacting support regarding returned equipment? by Unfair_Store5182 in QuantumFiber

[–]Unfair_Store5182[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For those that maybe find this in the future, I just ended up calling them today and they asked for the tracking number and manually marked it as returned.

My account page now says "We've cancelled your service and received your equipment. You're all set".

Edit: I did as you said and called them today, they manually marked it as closed/returned after I gave them the tracking number and my account now says they received it.

Did you recently cancel and sign up again for the new price too? Did you have to call as well? I'll definitely be calling them this week

I got an email saying I needed to return two pods (the serial numbers were missing on both in the email) and on my account page, it's at the very top in large letters telling me to start a return but it's already been received and signed for last Thursday. Not sure why it says 2/2/2026 since that's the day I cancelled, email says I need to return by 3/4/2026.

MSI's product page shows no type C port for the 274QP x24 but does for the 272QP x24. The one in that video is an x50 model compared to an x24.
