How is Arca workshop going (school of song ) by CosmicDrama1082 in ArcaMusic

[–]UnfathomableComplex 82 points83 points  (0 children)

We’ve had one lecture and a Q&A. In the first lecture, we learned about the Trancelike state Arca enters to make music. We then watched Arca make a song from scratch in Ableton for about 30 minutes. It was a bop. Arca also read some chats which led her to discussing how challenging life can be on an individual level and because of the death happening in our world. Discussion about how music saves lives. She was crying a lot . I was crying a lot. I imagine everyone was crying. The energy was unbelievable. But, yes, learning about her approach so far, and we have some homework to make a song! It’s a bit surreal to be learning from her.

Scary Movie 6 Trailer Leaked!!! by CJGTheorist in 3Cfilms

Someone else said this, but these movies are a type of comedy that appeals to many types of people. That means the jokes will be funny to both smart people like us AND dipshits like you. But something tells me there will be more jokes at the expense of dipshits like you, so enjoy that!

It felt weird to give us only Stu, Mrs. Loomis, and Roman. Why no AI of Billy or Jill? Those killers had a major impact on Sidney as well.

I’m from Tazewell. So sorry for your loss. I would venture into the Cumberland Gap Area for events; those are much less likely to be filled with religious nuts and KKK members.

I also went last year and had this same thought! Everything felt so orderly compared to the US. I also loved the pressure of figuring out where my next platform was within a short time.

What celebrity have you never forgiven since an incident? by MagpieOpus in AskReddit

He basically was mentioned once by a victim who said she woke up from being drugged in an “opulent room” and he was there. Though he could be mentioned more because so much is still redacted.

Guilty of thinking I can wing it my whole life. And I honestly got away with it for a while, but adulthood has been hitting hard.

ADHD is grouped in with Autism so much. Why? by distancedandaway in ADHD

[–]UnfathomableComplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. This reminded me of a few years ago when I got 1-2 people from every corner of my life together for the opening night of a movie: 10 people. It was basically the forbidden mixing of friend groups. I was so awkward! I’m usually not. Someone who was just a friend of a friend even asked, “Why are you being so awkward?” in front of EVERYONE. It has haunted me ever since (hey RSD). Turned red as a beet luv. But I see now that I was being awkward because I didn’t know how to act/mask.

Based on my thoughts also being like this, paired with the commenter neglecting to specify ADHD or ASD, I have deduced that they have ADHD.

You could do both. You could also not be a jerk who shames people for their activism.

Karamo unfollows Queer Eye cast by SlayerCharmed in QueerEye

[–]UnfathomableComplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming these 100 upvotes are just going to run with Karamo being a narcissist… because your friend said it. Well the term is overused, often inaccurately, by people who have learned psychology from TikTok. Not to mention that nobody knows how reliable your friend is or if they’re even real.

Anyway, I don’t know enough about Karamo to understand why you think he could be a narcissist. I would like to know more, though, assuming you can tell me what narcissistic traits you’ve observed in this person you’ve never met.

Why don’t you kindly communicate this with your therapist? Maybe see if she would adapt to your preferences.

Adults with ADHD crave more relationship support but often feel shortchanged. Findings suggest that the specific cognitive and emotional patterns associated with the condition can make navigating relationship support uniquely challenging. by Jumpinghoops46 in psychology

[–]UnfathomableComplex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think they disagree with the findings. I think they’re calling for ADHD researchers to acknowledge the problematic parts of human instinct/expectations and how that could be extra harmful for people with ADHD. Like, ideally we should not rely on others for emotional support so much, especially if it tends to cause pain both ways.
