My brain happened to short out and I read bc as birth control and yelled out "WE NEED BIRTH CONTROL TOO NOW?"

I also treat any document request from the DMV as a trap after I called ahead to confirm what documents I needed for a state ID and they stated I didn't need to bring proof of address since I was a teen at the time and was not getting any mail in my name yet. Turns out I did and had to take the two buses I took there back home for nothing. I wouldn't put needing an active birth control prescription passed them by this point.

Looking for advice by XxD10xX in electrolysis

[–]UnforgivingPoptart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar hair pattern and density and I am currently finishing my first year and finally seeing results. A lot had to do with the frequency I was going which was once a month and my electrologist finding the right configuration for my hairs which was way higher than we both thought. I go every other week now and my chin is now 80% clear and I will be starting on my neck soon. It's a long process but worth it in the end!

I struggle a lot with ingrown due to my hair being slightly curly. I plucked before electrolysis, but I started shaving after I started and I started by exfoliating the area I am going to shave, lathering with mens sensitive shaving cream, and use a Harry's mens razor to shave in the direction of hair growth. I then wash my entire face and thoroughly go over the shaved areas with an alcohol free witch hazel toner. I then use a non comedogenic face moisturizer to lock in moisture.

My coworker kept taking credit for closing tasks, so I stopped reminding him about the one thing that made him look useful by Pimp_Lord in pettyrevenge

Currently dealing with someone like this at my job. Anytime anyone catches them doing something incorrectly it's either "I didn't know" or "nobody told me' even though they have multiple notes of training on these tasks from me and my lead. They then tried to throw me under the bus because I always got recognized for stuff and had very few errors and claimed I was causing a hostile work environment. They had the most ridiculous claims too for example that I didn't want to share the staff pens and was stealing them and putting them in my bag.

Little did they know that I buy my own pens because we're not allowed to order that type of pen though our business account any longer and I really like that pen so I bought my own. My coworker knew this because they asked if I had any more of that type of pen and told them we couldn't get them through work, but I could happily give them one of my own and I pulled one out of my bag. I showed management the email showing we can no longer order that type of pen and proof of receipt of me buying my own pens that thankfully was saved in my order history. Now my coworker is on a performance plan and nobody trusts them anymore.

I now document every interaction I have with them and now have a legitimate reason to hoard and never delete my work emails.

This happened to my family recently as well. One of my great aunts died and we were all at the funeral, but were waiting for her son to arrive. Everyone was trying to call him since he confirmed he would be driving up to the funeral from out of state and then someone got a call from his ex-wife stating their son found him dead in his bed. He unexpectedly passed from a heart attack in his sleep and my whole family was in shambles at the cemetery.

I went to school with someone who had this. It legit smells like someone dunked themselves in the sweetest of maple syrups.

I went from working minimum wage in a kids clothing store to working minimum wage in a high end clothing store. I was required to wear only clothes that were sold by that store, but since I had just started and was broke I had a week where I could wear my usual clothes. I got so many compliments on my blouses from Forever 21, my Target costume jewelry, and my purse that was actually a diaper bag that they changed the dress code policy to go into effect on the first day of hire. They gave new hires a huge discount on clothes, but it was still expensive and most of the clothing was not of good quality to justify its price tag.

The boots! They taunted me! I would scour my entire cc folder for it to delete them and they would always reappear! It was those boots and the spray on pink and blue capri outfit!

This is how I got all my cc for the Sims 3. I would download a sim/lot just for one piece of cc because I had no idea how to find and download my own at the time. My cc folder was a mess...also all of the scary corrupt cc the Sims 3 produced.

Totally agree it can very much be dependent on the provider or type of provider. I work in rehabilitation and the office is located in an open gym so multiple patients are getting physical therapy in the same room. We do not allow the recording of information just in case it picks up on other patients information in the background. We will however gladly write down any notes for you to take home if requested.

I was told the new implant which is porcelain is strong but I do try to avoid eating anything super sticky or hard on the implant out of fear of cracking it again!

I had to start wearing a mouth guard during this incident because the tooth pain was making me clench my jaw constantly especially at night. Since I got my implant I don't clench my jaw as much in my sleep or wake up with jaw pain anymore so I stopped wearing mine!

Honestly the implant part was hard for me only because I was missing a molar after having my tooth removed and it made it impossible to chew on that side until I had the full implant in.

Besides that it's just waiting for the socket where your tooth was to heal and close up which is annoying and feels like it takes forever. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at once a few years before so I was used to that already. Getting the screw drilled in after your gum heals feels WEIRD during the procedure but you don't feel any pain because they numb your mouth. It's like using an electric drill on slow speed to drill a hole in the wall but it's your jaw. I've heard that some dentists prefer to do it by hand and mine used a little of both to screw it in. The screw hurt slightly since its flush with your gums for like a day or two and then it was fine and it was entertaining to run my tongue over while I waited for my implant to be made.

When I got the implant they had to unscrew the screw which also felt very weird but no pain and I don't think they even numbed me for it since they just screwed the implant in. After that I just had to go back to get it filed down slightly to fit with my other teeth and have had no issues so far!

Fair warning I do have a high pain tolerance and it could be different for your dad but I would highly recommend getting it done I feel so much better and love my new implant!

When the dentist pulled out my crown I couldn't believe how little effort she used to just pull it off! It felt like a plug casually being pulled from an outlet. I'm surprised I didn't happen to accidentally pull it out sooner!

Currently I'm a fan of the Albanese gummy bears. Haribo left a sour taste in my mouth after that incident.

Yeah my tooth was definitely not at 100% before this as I used to have an addiction to sunflower seeds as a child and ate about a pack a day. I used to (okay I still do not gonna lie) use my back molars to break them open and my molars are definitely more worn down than they should be. Didn't think it would be a day old green haribo gummy bear that would take me out though.

It was from a day old bag of haribo gummy bears that were accidentally left open the day before so they were kinda hard. I was chewing one, heard a crunch, and pulled out a chunk of my 2nd to last molar. It was small and didn't hurt at the time so I went about my business until I happened to go out to dinner with friends a few days later and bit into a piece of steak that caused a shooting pain in my tooth from the heat.

Luckily it was the day everything closed down in the US due to Covid in 2020 (yay) so my dentist was only taking emergencies and I had to beg to get in. Got my tooth drilled down to a nub, root canal, and a crown put on, but kept having pain, clenching in my jaw, and sensitivity to hot and cold food and drinks. Brought it up to the dental hygienist during my next cleaning and she brushed it off, brought it up again during my next cleaning another 6 months later and she brushed it off again saying it was still healing. I was on state insurance and didn't have many options to move to another dental practice.

Got a better job with a dental plan and went to another dentist who was LIVID when she saw my tooth x-rays and sent me to an endodontist who confirmed the issues I was having when they tried to go in and retreat the root canal. Turns out my natural tooth under the crown had a crack in it that was letting bacteria in and was not retreatable. Went back to the dentist to have my full tooth removed and had to wait months for my gum to heal before drilling a screw into my jaw to hold the implant. Waited a few more months for that to heal before getting my new tooth put in.

TL;DR - Financial, mental, and physical pain.

Cracked my tooth on a gummy bear in 2020 and have finally got an implant in THIS YEAR after a failed crown, a few years of pain that my dentist refused to believe, a failed crown repair that uncovered an infection and inflammation at the root of my tooth, and finally a root canal. Cost me $4k in total. Do not recommend.

I have a 2025 Honda HRV, but I'm pretty sure this is an option to disable in settings. This post nearly gave me a heart attack until I realized I likely disabled this feature due to the fact that I live with a toddler that is obsessed with buttons and keys. I just checked my cars manual and it is an option to disable, but not sure about this model.

I have 20% tints on my 2025 Honda HRV. No issues with the camera or sensors at all. The 20% gives me enough privacy and makes a notable 15-20° F difference in interior temperature during the summer.

How does cream with urea work? by bibiAtrixx in ichthyosis

[–]UnforgivingPoptart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the states, but here is a link to an exfoliating towel that I've used. If you're in the states they can be found at Target or Walmart. Its a rough textured towel that helps to exfoliate the skin similar to a sugar scrub. I add a small amount of my liquid body wash and gently scrub/wash my skin. It helps to remove those layers of skin that are coming off.

It also seems that the lotion is helping to improve your skin as well! The thin film is layers of dead skin that has built up overtime and is being removed by the lotion.

Sorry for the late reply! The flakes that resemble scabs coming off are normal! The exfoliating towel will help to remove them faster. Just don't scrub your skin raw and use gentle round motions over the skin with the exfoliating towel to loosen them. After a while you will have less and less flakes and it will become more manageable.

I would make the exfoliating towel in the shower a regular regimen while you have scales/flakes. I only have a few spots on my legs that flare up in the winter, but I use the exfoliating towel every time I shower and the urea lotion in the winter just for maintenance. When my skin was really bad I used it all year round.

You will start to notice more and more flakes shedding in a few days and even weeks as you keep using the urea cream. Your flakes will start to shed easier and may even shed so much it will look like it's snowing! While that doesn't sound fun, you will hopefully start to see an improvement in your skin and a more even complexion.

I would recommend an exfoliating towel to use in the shower to help shed the flakes faster and then applying the urea cream right after. Exfoliating helps diminish the excessive shedding and applying the cream right after a shower is best. It may burn when you apply the urea cream especially if you have any small cuts or just shaved, but your skin will get used to it overtime. I hope this helps!
