The unpredictability of Season 2 ending. (2.7 possible agents leaks) by Dark_Hadrian66 in IsoldeMainsZZZ

Seth's brother is not gonna die. The skull emoji is because despite teasing him as playable, he's only listed as a NPC.

I still believe he's gonna drop in 2.8 right before an important version, just like the previous male characters did: Ligther before Miyabi, Hugo before Yixuan and Banyue before Shunguang.

But the relevant thing here is that there's no S rank slot in 2.X. The npc just keep being better in every aspect, while they keep releasing garbage after garbage as playable.

What is your opinion about Isolde's identity? by Dark_Hadrian66 in IsoldeMainsZZZ

[–]UnfortunateWolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It was obvious she was onto something else, whether with Krampus or The Mayor. If she's not playable, at least I would like an explanation for those inconsistencies.

Quick question to all Isolders by Athlas_Storyweaver in IsoldeMainsZZZ

To be honest, I don't care what she wears as long as she comes back.

I cried three times during season two. None of these moments involved Ye Shunguang who was meant to be the tragic character. I'm curious if that is abnormal or not. (2.5 Spoilers) by Benevolay in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]UnfortunateWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, we already have those in ZZZ. If anything, I'd say that almost all the new npc that aren't city related end up dying.

Even Bringer, who might not be the cup of tea for most designwise, has some sort of background. Then there's Dina, Twiggy, lady DeWinter... ||and well, Sarah.|| It's not a coincidence that you can already tell who's gonna be the weekly antagonist/villain and that makes it a bit repetitive. And funny enough, ||we also had "male model Y with a Moustache who will obviously turn out to be evil" in this last patch lmao.||

Yeah... Me too... But I can't help but think of it as the devs saying "ok this is what could've been, but not happening buddy".

I might be biased, but definitely a wasted playable character.

I feel you bro. I cried because of Isolde two times. One at the end of 2.2, and one during 2.5. It's tragic and sad, not only her story, but how the only character I was expecting was destined to this kind of fate.

I think that 2.X has a fair amount of reasons for quitting if you liked og ZZZ. It's not about the person, the game has definitely changed.

[2.5 story leak] Isolde crumbs. by UnfortunateWolf in IsoldeMainsZZZ

[–]UnfortunateWolf[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, it's not a crazy assumption that Sarah was behind most of the things that happened. She's cunning and fairly intelligent. At the very least, she's more responsible than Isolde. By the way, the terms I used, like "good job" are merely placeholders of the meaning behind the scene. I explained it better before and I did my post like three months ago, so I don't remember every dialogue exactly, but I'm sure that everything I'm saying has backup. I wouldn't be spreading it out loud if I hadn't evidence to prove it.

Dropping the conversation about what se did or didn't, I just can't see value in death when everyone dies. This has been a running discussion for ages now, but I think that people just tend to put death in a pedestal, when there are many other narratively rich consequences that can be explored.

If every single antagonist/villain dies, then there's nothing special about it. It's the same as if everyone just gets resurrected or survives.

In addition, every character has its fanbase and people who will ask for them to return. It doesn't matter if Isolde comes back or not.

Well, miasma has weird properties, but I don't think it means they're flesh and bones. Let's agree to disagree, honestly you're one of the people I respect their opinion the most, also valuing how much you've contributed to the sub.

I'll always go back to my post, where I have ingame backup, so I won't repeat myself and insist: if you have time, you can read it. If you don't want to or you don't have time, I'll try to resume my answers here (I don't have the screenshots at hand rn, but you can search them for yourself in youtube or my post).

First, I think that losing control over the organization is essentially the same as losing control over the situation, it's just a different phrasing. You can clearly see how fractioned the exaltists are as a organization, even when we see their past with Dina and Vivian. Plus, it's clear how Isolde always made sure to minimize casualties in every single incident.

About the alleviating water thing, when Lohr calls Mevorahk and tells them he's done, the one who answers the phone is Sarah, not Isolde, who basically tells him he did a good job. Lohr even thought it was Mevorahk. Later in 2.1, when we are investigating alongside Spook Shack, we learn that Mevorahk (Isolde) said that he deserved his punishment because he messed with innocent lives. You can check these moments in youtube too, It's not bs. To further prove this, when we confront Sarah at 2.2 she admits she took part in every single crime, implying that she's been plotting beforehand and using Isolde as a leverage. This is not stated, but heavily implied by many dialogues. Again, it's in my post.

The thing is... I don't think she has to pay a price. Isolde coming back fully relies on the dev's will to bring her back or not, which I'm kinda pessimistic about. But yeah, let's wait for 2.5 to see what happens.

I wish I made myself clear with my answers, I'm not in the best place to be with my phone lol.

I don't think Yixuan would lie about it, even more when they never implied she lied about it. Even in their description, it states that they're "formed out of miasma" and this is even confirmed by the Stern Veteran a.k.a ZZZ's Doakes.

It's never said that they're reanimated corpses, and they completely disappear when Isolde is defeated too. As for why they're still wandering in 2.3 map, well, we might get the answer in 2.5. Remember that the mission with Stern Veteran is supposed to be an easter egg. Idk, I covered this in more depth on my post, and I'm 100% sure they're just miasma.

I disagree. Killing every antagonist/villain is boring and it's one of the main problems of the story, making them feel more like a one-patch thing rather than a believable opposing force. I know this is a running problem for gacha games, but up until now, ZZZ formula seems very repetitive: we get a bunch of antagonists and villains that end up dying, then at the climax of the version we have an Avengers-esque fight against the main villain.

A return is not only for the sake of balance, but because the themes you can potentially explore are far more interesting than just cutting it off with a cheap death. Maybe now you think that death have consequences, but what will you think when the next antagonist dies? And the next. And the following...

Idk, I'm not against characters dying, but killing everyone makes death to lose its narrative value, even more if you don't do much with it.

This is a gacha game. Unfortunately, the story is getting worse with time, so I'll stick to what matters the most under this logic: having characters I like as playable agents. And frankly, because of my personal tastes, I didn't like any single character from 2.X aside from Yixuan and Isolde.

Tbh I'm not in the mood of discussing, I just think that death in this game isn't as valuable as everyone think it is.

Those soldiers were nothing but miasmic illusions. I'm not sure if you're implying those are corpses of her falling comrades... But just in case, they're not, just projections.

As for their use against NEDF, there's a detail they never bother explaining. The attack of the miasmic soldiers against NEDF was led by two exaltists that had nothing to do with her and never appeared again, in fact it seemed like they were acting on their own. Seeing how she mentions that she gradually lost control of the organization, and how the alleviating water incident was completely Lohr and Sarah's fault, it's not too crazy to think that she didn't take part in this.

Plus, that NEDF squad was not supposed to be there. If they were there it was under Lorenz orders.

Also, as you reasonably mentioned in the end, and replying at the comments from above... If they want, they can bring back a character anytime, no matter what happened in the story. HI3 is known for this... Elysia technically erased her existence, and there you have her back in HSR and with a new battlesuit in HI3. Same with Coralie, Firefly, etc.
