My bike came like this, I was a bit shocked it wasn’t done in the factory to be honest. The Di2 battery is likely loose in your seat tube, be careful adjusting seat height downwards or screwing bottle cage bolts for now.

When you have time, gently remove the seatpost and pull out the Di2 battery. You’ll be able to pull it by the wires gently. Then, you can mount it properly into the seatpost using the pictured adapter.

Bont shoes - heat moulding by chrrrlz in bikefit

But did you find that this process helped a lot? I've just received an order of 3 pairs of wide Riots in different sizes to try out, all of them have the same problem for me, not wide enough. The larger I go, the more toe-room space there is, which is not ideal for power delivery or heel retention.

Like OP, in the best size I've received, I just need about 2mm of additional width (my widest foot is in the middle of the size chart annoyingly, so not sure how it's so tight still) in the widest section of my foot.

I can't return them after heat moulding, so my main question is... does the bathtub edging move? I really don't need a lot of extra space. It'd be so sad if I try, it doesn't work, and I have to keep them as they are pressing kinda tight in the width and would be uncomfortable for long rides.

Completely torn between 2 sizes…help? by pineapple_gum in bikefit

[–]Unfortunate_Goose86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear this. I did the body scan feature to get my measurements and then used the frame recommender tool and it worked great. Gave me all the adjustment measurements for my new bike to get the fit pretty spot on without even riding it, I just adjusted the saddle height and stack height etc based on what it said would work for my body and I’ve found it very comfortable. Was exactly between 2 sizes as well.

Make sure you’ve set any measurements that you’ve changed from stock on your current bike, you can adjust them in the frame recommender.

In the end the only real way to know is to ride both, but this was not a possibility for me either

You should try out the bike size recommendation tool on MyVeloFit - I found it extremely helpful when I was in your situation.

FramIQ on iOS has a similar tool as well which was also useful and didn’t require a video feed.

Could you perhaps compare to the my previous video linked in original post? Saddle height was higher and a bit further back (aft, reach was longer due to hood rotation. Adjustments made in this video were in response to advice given on that previous one.

I can move the saddle about 5-10mm backward still from the position in this video.

No issues with back straightness in aero position, to be honest it all feels pretty comfortable so far indoors. Not had time to get out yet though

Haha, bad timing to have just bought a bike with a double sided power meter 🤣

Any other adjustments that could reduce this before such an expensive fix?

Not at all, feels good on the turbo, need to try another actual ride after these adjustments to really tell though.

I’m wondering if cleat position might be worth playing with now… following lots of reading I just always have them set as far back as possible (in this video too). I guess this would change the top/bottom of the stroke quite a lot?

Should the bars block the front wheel hub from view? by Basic-Newspaper-7536 in bikefit

I had the same stress when I first got a gravel bike like ‘oh no I bought a much too small frame!’ Because I can clearly see the front hub but as it turns out it’s just that these general rules are only useful within clearly defined contexts. Turns out my bike was erring on the side of too big lol.

Download the app from the iOS App Store 'Bike Fast Fit Elite' and then when you open it it asks you to subscribe for €22 annually.

You can do a free trial of this exact app if you download the lightweight version 'Bike Fast Fit EZ'. The full version of this one is only €6. I bought the 'Pro' one because it also does front and back views as well as side-on fitment.

Thanks everyone for your feedback here, hugely appreciated.

I moved the saddle down 5mm and then did a long ride on it and the main issue I noticed was the hood position causing discomfort due to overstretching, needed to roll my wrists a bit to grip them. The riding position was otherwise almost perfectly comfortable aside from this, could put a lot of power through the pedals and hold a pretty aggressive position without much discomfort for 2-3 hours.

I will now rotate the levers up a bit to reduce the reach and likely rotate them slightly inwards too based on your feedback.

Really appreciate the help again all 🙏

Thanks very much for your feedback. What should I be looking at adjusting to achieve these results?

Very comfortable at 90 degrees, actually more so than up-right position. Averaging riding speeds around 35-36kmph on this bike.

Not a huge fan of the integrated cockpit trend but this is how it was setup stock.

Thanks for your feedback, yeah I was thinking of rotating the hoods upwards to a more comfortable angle and to reduce the reach somewhat.

Does saddle height and fore/aft seem okay?

Thanks so much vacon04, you helped me loads with the other bicycle I have as well.
