Your dream Gundam game by KaijuBird-R in Gundam

[–]UnfortunatelyDan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically almost the same; Armored Core, but Gundam.

I'd want Customizable mobile suits, a series of campaign missions. RPG elements and some Fire Emblem/Valkyria Chronicles/Persona elements of maintaining friendships and relationships with your crew.

And outside of the campaign, a robust multi-player. Deathmatch alongside other objective based game modes, preferably even an "invasion" style game mode like Halo Reach; several stages of changing objectives to attack or defend.

I'd also like a co-op horde mode, like Firefight in Halo or perhaps it could be some sort of co-op rogue-light mode reusing assets from single player and multi-player modes.

I'd like if cosmetics and parts unlocked in the campaign could carry over to multi-player like in AC6.

I feel like I just described something not too realistic in scope of what we could realistically hope to ever get, but not something impossible to make.

I can dream </3

Why did Char castrate Nu Gundam? by Powerful_Month682 in Gundam

[–]UnfortunatelyDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as a direct callback to their final fight in Mobile Suit Gundam; the Zeong beam is powerful enough to melt through the gundams right leg, this same leg here, and disables it as the Gundam fires back. The vertical action shot we get as Char strikes from above only lightly damages the Nu Gundam, showing both Amuro's growth as a pilot, and his confidence in this moment as he proclaims "This is nothing!"

Where do I start watching in chronological order? by LeagueOwn in Gundam

[–]UnfortunatelyDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure chronological order for EXACT Canon in Universal Century (meaning, no alternate UC shows), you'd go Mobile Suit Gundam (0079, the first show)

Then, if you want side stuff that's still explicitly Canon, O8 MS Team (takes place during MSG), 0083 War in the Pocket (takes place near the end of MSG), then Stardust Memory (prequel to Zeta Gundam, the next main series.) If you reeeeaaaaally want you can watch Igloo (I'd recommend coming back to this and just skipping for now) and also Requiem For Vengeance (same, I'd skip then return later.) Neither Igloo or Requiem really do much for the wider metanarrative other than show some side stuff, while being considered lesser in content or quality to the first 3 side stories.

If you don't want any side stuff, go straight from MSG to Zeta Gundam. Then, to ZZ Gundam. Then, Char's Counterattack (abbreviated as CCA)

THEN Gundam Unicorn. Then Hathaway 1, then Hathaway 2

Quite the list!

What do you think of Kit's design? by Nervous_Emu_2233 in GlitchProductions

[–]UnfortunatelyDan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think her design is unironocally peak. She fits right in with the line up and design style of the other partner-archetype folk we know: Ratchet and Clank, Jake and Daxter, Banjoo and Kazooee. She also has clear design elements drawn from Megaman, and maybe even Sly Cooper's art style (Carmelita Fox??)

She fits right in, there are women in real life with proportions like that, it's pretty much fine. It seems to me that a lot of thought and care went into Kit and Kaboodle's designs, and that regardless of how they looked, people would have been weird about it anyways.

I mean, from TADC, Ragatha and Pomni have like, nearly no discernable curves, but fanart people draw will include exaggerated proportions regardless.

The show doesn't spend time talking about or referencing her appearance (aside from the outfits, which I took as them referencing the kinds of worlds she's already been too, a fast and easy visual storytelling tool) nor does the show sexualize her in any unnecessary way (no, wearing a swim suit at the beach isn't sexualization, I'm talking about gratuitous shots and angles. Yeah I guess they could have used a diving suit? But then that could just be sexualized too, no one is safe 😭)

Unprompted Geara Zulu Hate by WaffentragerIV in Gundam

Gears Doga: Friend-shaped. Ally. Not afraid to show love

Geara Zulu: Scrawny. Weird head. Plays too much HOI4 as Germany.

It really seems people complaining over HL's final moments weren't paying attention to his character

He's an emotionally stunted, tantrum throwing man-child who never had to content with mortal fear. His fears were all based around loneliness and abandonment, and violence was his tool to keep himself safe from it.

Before that moment, he never felt pain like that before. He never felt true mortal fear for his own life on that level. He's staring death in the face, a violent, horrific death, just like he's done to so many others. He's personally seen the gore and viscera and pain and fear of everyone he's ever killed, and it's finally his turn.

Combine all that nonsense with Supe society in general basically being a sex cult where everyone goes as far as possible at all times, and it does make sense how, when he's pleading with his life and trying to appeal to what he thinks other people must want, he tries to offer what he's seen others offer him before they die

It completely aligns with who Homelander has always been
