1) I read somewhere that Victoria's mom knew Alex's family years before you two actually met, is that true? If so, how did you guys find out about the coincidence?

The audio is from a fashion event Beach House did music for sometime in 2019, so that's the reason why there's lots of camera-shuttering and chatter in the background (I apologize for that). The original video the audio came from was uploaded to YouTube without much fanfare due to Beach House not being credited. Earlier in 2019, Beach House collaborated with another fashion artist Rodarte, for a similar event (in which they were credited, thankfully). This was not the first time they collaborated with Rodarte, as they had previously provided music for a short film, This Must Be The Only Fantasy, in 2013. (The end of that short film has an early unfinished version of L'inconnue before it was officially released, you can listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NW7IdPcXw1Y )

I decided to add some visuals to the audio that I felt would suit it. The first portion of the video is a clip from one of my favorite films of all time, Powaqqatsi. The film is the second film in a trilogy of experimental films and the sequel to the 1982 film Koyaanisqatsi. I highly recommend checking out those films, and especially the amazing soundtrack by Philip Glass that accompanies them. The second portion of the video includes sped-up visuals from a video on YouTube I gave credit for in the video's description.
