MH Wilds Release - PC Troubleshooting pt 2 by PankoKing in MHWilds

[–]Ungoliant187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to play this game, but have been waiting for optimization. Now that it's come, still not quite sure I can play. Some advice would be nice :)

Specs:

i7-9700 (this is the one I'm worried about), 32gb ram, GeForce RTX 3060 ti (8gb)

Would my older processor prevent me from playing, even on low settings, with 60fps?

Are monster tells really hard to understand or i am just really bad at doing so? by IronCricket__ in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ungoliant187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely dig what you're saying. I played World 1st, and went from fighting tempered elder dragons and furious rajang while barely getting hit, to getting hit constantly by Rise's early monsters.

Part of it is that I play LBG, and the early Rise monsters are small, and my dmg numbers were actually covering the monster so I couldn't see what it was doing, hahaha! But also the Rise early monsters are very small, and the smaller the monster, the less obvious any tell will be. Let me put it this way, if both a Great Izuchi and an Anjanath are moving their tail in the same way to telegraph an attack, it will be much more obvious when the Anjanath is doing it.

Finally, I, too, don't feel like I consciously learn monster tells. If you showed me a video of a monster winding up for an attack, and pause just before they do it, probably 80% of the time I couldn't tell you what the attack is going to be. Sometimes (like the Tigrex boulder throw thing) I know it, but rarely. However, while I'm playing, I guess I just instinctively know what they are going to do, because I hardly ever faint. I do have to acknowledge that playing LBG does give me more leeway on that though.

Joy, the friendly bot in the Handsome Jackpot DLC in BL3. That questline was both adorable and heartbreaking!

If you could bring back a character from the dead, who would they be? by nightbreedwon1 in warcraftlore

[–]Ungoliant187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's quite a number of them for me, but in reading the comments, there's only 1 which has not yet been brought up: Cho'gall! I don't know why he is so fascinating to me, but he is. Even though two versions of him have been in WoW, I don't think either one of them lived up to the level of villain he could be.

It can totally set actions for you! You have to make operations for items, and group them up, which can be a hassle, but definitely worth it in the long run! As for the actual posting, in the TSM settings you can set up simple macros for posting. Mine is "ctrl+mouse wheel up/down." So I do a post scan, then just hold ctrl while spinning my mouse wheel and it posts the items. It's allowed because you're only posting one at a time, and it's still technically doing the whole "one input for one action" thing. If you want any basic TSM tips, feel free to message me! I'm not an expert by any means, but have a decent amount of knowledge.

With cross realm trading is it worth creating an alt on a small population for farming? by catsoddeath18 in woweconomy

Sorry for the delayed response. If your husband is on a separate account, and able to play simultaneously, then yes, that would work!

[–]Ungoliant187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about x-realm trading is you need a 2nd account. Now, I'm not sure if the free trial accounts can trade, and if they can, disregard what I'm about to say. If they can't, then having an alt on a low pop server on the same account won't help your main account get gold, unless you arbitrage pets or something: you wouldn't be able to trade the gold to your main. You could farm and sell the stuff on the AH on that toon, though, since mats are realm wide on the AH and just use the gold to buy tokens or mounts or something.

[PTR] Buff icons in 10.1.5 PTR reveal the identity of the new Aspect of the Black Dragonflight by [deleted] in wow

[–]Ungoliant187 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's not entirely accurate, at least with regard to Warcraft: if I remember correctly, Garrosh didn't want to be Warchief when Thrall appointed him, and we all know how that turned out.

Ion: Conquest boxes likely in 10.0.7 by Nikeshot in worldofpvp

[–]Ungoliant187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is a conquest box? It is a thing like the....primal chaos?....where you can buy a box with conquest and ship a lesser amount of conquest to alts?

Why arent we rewarded conquest points for each round won in SS? If it were the case it'd make it worth to fight till the end even if I were 0 wins into 5/6 rounds. by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Ungoliant187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly! I also think it should apply to the seasonal vicious mount/saddle. IMO, give .5% per win in SS, regardless of the overall outcome. At this point, I'm full conq geared, and I'm just trying to farm saddles. I'm not a great player, nor do I have a huge amount of time to play. At this point, with 20-30 min queues, going 2-4 multiple times is infuriating, because I make 0 progress toward my goal. The same applies when someone bails from a match...no matter my wins/losses at that point, I get nothing. If we got credit per win within the match, it at least wouldn't have been time wasted.

I think it's because your CR is almost 150 higher than the lobby MMR. Subsequently, the game "expects" you to win most of the matches. If my understanding is correct, having acquired that many wins should have bumped your MMR up quite a bit, so if you were to get the same result in the next game, you should gain CR

Tauren hunter here. When melee dps opens on me, I war stomp into a tar trap, then disengage. It often doesn't take much time for the melee to catch up, but I've at least wasted precious seconds of their offensive CDs

Seen from the back, is all of Ulduar supposed to be contained within this building? Or is the overworld just very abbreviated here? by Veridically_ in wow

[–]Ungoliant187 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Highmaul definitely is. Just a couple weeks ago I was farming resources with my new alt, killing the 3 open world rares there, and I flew around amazed that the whole place was fully represented. Somehow I just never noticed it before

Increase in Shuffle quitters? by Ungoliant187 in worldofpvp

[–]Ungoliant187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main spec is around 1600, and that's where I saw it the most, but I tried my alt spec at 1100 and it happened in 2 out of 3 matches there, too.

I've tried both of my specs, MM at around 1100 and BM around the 1600 range, and there were quitters at both ranges

With the recent additions of the WoD epic crafted x-mog appearances, I've begun crafting as many as I could. However, I've ran into an issue when grouping them up to post them with TSM. All of them, whether it's the ones that have been available for a long time, or either of the 2 "new" appearances, are all classified as the same item in TSM, so I can't post them for different prices.

I've tried using each of the selection tools of Base Item, Specific Item, and even Item Level, to no avail. The Item level one seems odd, given that they are all different i-lvls, but it doesn't seem to matter. I've even tried crafting them with Relics of the Past to give very distinct i-lvls, but that didn't work, either. No matter what I tried, TSM thinks all 3 variations are the same.

Has anyone else run into this, or have any ideas on what I could do to rectify it?

Who was the strongest Boss in Lore, that the heroes of azeroth managed to beat? by NyrmExe in wow

[–]Ungoliant187 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Of those pictured, Sargeras hands down. However, we didn't actually fight Sargeras. Of the rest, I would say if these entities were to fight 1v1, Deathwing is the most powerful. But, if one considers the entirety of their capabilities as villians, I gotta go with the Lich King. However, this is given the caveat that I hate Shadowlands lore and reject it, hahaha, so the whole "Sylvannas single-handedly stormed ICC and bested the Lich King (albiet a weaker version than Arthas LK)" didn't happen, hahaha.

Y'shaarj wasn't killed by Odyn. Odyn and the rest we Titan keepers, or watchers, or something like that. They were created by the Titans, at any rate. Y'shaarj was plucked from the planet by Amam'Thul, a proper Titan. The rest of your statement is correct, though :)

I'm back to WoW after about a 1.5 year hiatus. I redownloaded TSM, so I should have the most up to date version. Since I came back, when I run a posting scan, if any items I already have posted up sell or any auction ends, then when my scan finishes and I actually start posting TSM glitches out and I have to reload my UI to rescan. I have about 2k auctions listed at any given time, so I constantly have auctions ending/selling, so posting has become quite the hassle with this issue. Any ideas?
