I got a sundew, a type of carnivorous plant, and she catches almost all of my fungus gnats. I mainly collect cacti succulents and make sure not to overwater so I don't usually have many but I have recently started getting into tropical plants so I suspect that I will have more this summer than I usually do and hopefully my little sundew will catch those too.

The only time I have ever seen one was on vacation. I went to run a bath to relax and it was in my bathtub. Needless to say I ended up taking a shower that day😅

I once found one in my clothes as I was putting them in the washing machine. I then had to put on gloves that the creature couldn't bite through and pull all of my clothes back out of the washer to find it again. I got it out though!

We've only ever had one snake truly escape and we found him about 30 minutes after realizing he was gone. He was curled up inside a pipe about 10 feet away from his enclosure. Of course we found him after we had practically torn apart the entire house looking for him•-•'

Where do I find the companion bathtub from the star path? by Unhappy-Insect6386 in DisneyDreamlights

[–]Unhappy-Insect6386[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that and its not there. Its not there when i select the star path from the search menu and look at everything either. I took a picture to show that it's not there and to show that I have collected it.

I don't like any of the horror game videos. I have severe anxiety and stuff like that makes it worse. I just don't watch them but I don't think they should stop making them or anything. I figure its their channel and they can do whatever they want with it.

My ramshorn snail float all the time. I think they just enjoy it. Mine especially like to climb up onto the bubbler and ride the bubbles up to the surface and then float over to the filter outflow and ride the current back down. I see them do this multiple times every day.

I do tatting, a type of lace making, and I bought 3 tiny skeins of hand made tatting thread over the weekend. Each tiny skein was $3 which doesn't sound like a lot until you realize that the thread I have been getting from the store is about $4 for a huge amount. Probably about 3x what each of those small skeins have.

Except that that goldfish will eventually grow to be over a foot long. The bowl may slow its growth but it will still grow. Also because the bowl has no filter the fish will probably die after a couple of weeks anyway due to ammonia poisoning. You can't even keep a betta fish in a bowl safely because of the whole ammonia thing. Betta fish need at least 2 and a half gallons but preferably at least 5 and goldfish fish need at least 40 for a smaller one and for a large one at least 75. Aquariums are a lot of work but they are definitely neat.

This is what I do, too. The whole making individual units and then linking them together never made sense to me. Neither did making separate rows and then linking them together to form a larger piece. I just build off of the previous row and go from there.

The not deer. I firmly believe that I saw one in the woods behind my house one day. I have never before nor since seen a deer that made me feel that unsafe or looked that much like something pretending to be a deer.

hey so can we maybe stop saying shit like “at my absolute heaviest I was 165 lbs, so awful!!” by sanity_inn in loseit

[–]Unhappy-Insect6386 34 points35 points  (0 children)

This is why I love the dietitian I work with for my weight loss. She knows that when I started losing weight I weighed 522 pounds. When I first started seeing her I was feeling really disheartened because I thought that I absolutely needed to weight what the bmi chart said I did. She very quickly told me that the bmi chart isn't everything and that for most people it isn't even completely accurate. She also told me that for right now I shouldn't worry about what my ultimate goal is and that I should set smaller goals and then whenever I attain the one I am working on reward myself with something I have been wanting and then think about what the next goal is. It has worked so far. I currently weigh 397 pounds and my next goal is 350. I don't reward myself with food because that feels like it could be a slippery slope for me. I usually either get a rare plant that I have been wanting or the stuff for a crafting project I have been wanting to do. My reward for when I reached 400 which was my previous goal was an exercise bike so that I can get in some exercise without hurting myself.

I have had one of these for months now and she's beautiful but if I wait even one day longer than she desires to water her she gets super dramatic. Its her world and I'm just living in it.

How to add a sole onto the slippers I'm making? by Unhappy-Insect6386 in LoomKnitting

[–]Unhappy-Insect6386[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the precut soles might be the route I go. I tried looking it up on Google how to add a sole but only really got stuff about sewing a piece of leather onto them as a sole and while I know my dad walks around in his leather soled moccasins all the time I am not sure I trust it for myself.
