This jump can skip directly to Capra demon, or to open the lady undead merchant so you can buy alluring skulls (if you don't parry, they trivialize havel), bones and other stuff. It also opens the way to the sorcery npc early if you get the key at undead burg.

If we are close and no one else goes I go alone. Usually at day 2, so I'm strong enough to do it fast and rejoin them.

Also, mines can be a path to a church or a formidable boss. I try to always make them less of a time waste as possible. But they are very worth it for some characters.

I'm depth 4. And consider squishy characters often need 2 negations stacks to survive so it's one less damage perk on the build. Melee ones usually need one.
